Our week at Seawatch was very pleasant. Unit 317 was the perfect condo for a beach vacation. We had the opportunity to vist several units in SeaWatch as this was a family reunion. All of the units have the same basic layout but some owners obviously use there unit verses just a rental. Ours was obviously mainly a rental but very practical. With a 3 year old staying with us, we were delighted not to have to worry about carpeting which this unit does not have. The den area advertised as a private space was actually very open with a sliding divider screen to provide privacy. We saw other units that had that area completely enclosed as a separate room and others that were entirely open with no privacy options. Unit 317 worked well for us. There was ample dishes, glasswear and utensils as well as pots and pans but not any large roasting or baking dishes.
My grandson thought the 3 pools were the "bestest ever". More shaded area around the pool and on the deck area overlooking the dunes would have been appreciated especially for our aging parents. The building was clean and personnel were in attendance to make sure the lobbies were kept dry
Our only complaint was check-in on Saturday afternoon...too many checking in at one time with no explanations given as to the how, what and why. An instruction letter with the contract would have been most helpful. For example, one cannot just pull up to the building, unload the car and check-in. You need to pull into a loading area or find a parking space in the garage, rent a tub or luggage carrier to unload your car, check-in at the front desk and the garage, find the elevators to your apartment etc, etc. Better signage to find the right elevators would have been helpful also.
Ocean City is a tourist town so everything is more expensive. Bring as much with you as possible...even TP. Food Lion is a block or so north but extremely busy on Saturday afternoon. This is not a good vacation spot for those with disabilities.
