Rochester, New YorkAwesome view, location and condo!
Left on 09/08/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We have stayed at the Braemar three years in a row. We love the beach side lockers for your beach gear, easy access to the pool from the beach, the awesome view from our condo; we can see the ocean in every room.

Silver SpringGood Family Vacation
Left on 08/26/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This is the second year we have stayed in this unit. The new carpet was a much needed update. This is a very spacious unit, good for our family group consisting of 6 adults. The bathrooms could use updating as the tile is cracked and mildewed. I like being on the top level. The new elevators made that much more pleasant. This unit has a large number of items available in the beach-side storage unit - a nice plus when you have a large group. My only real complaint is the noice from the air conditioning unit in the master bedroom. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep with the ac making so much noice when it was running and even more when it shut on or off. Don't know what could be done about this, but it would be a deciding factor in our renting this unit next year. I like to sleep well on my vacations!

Camp Hill, PAGreat location but needs updating
Left on 06/30/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The location is fabulous...can see the pool and ocean from the balconies. Also nice that there is new carpet and paint. However, the master bed was very uncomfortable (too hard), and the sofas were uncomfortable as well-had to take off the cushions to sit there. Also have to move the couch to even watch TV since the TV cabinet is in an odd place. The bathrooms are in desperate need of remodeling, though they are clean. The kitchen also needs updating. The only service issue was the fact that we could not get into the beach locker for a couple of days until the realtor could get us a new lock and combo.

Atlanta, GeorgiaGreat ocean front views from top floor condo
Left on 09/17/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The unit was spacious with large ocean front balconies. It was neat and clean but really needs updating. The bathrooms and kitchen are probably original to the unit (40-50) years old. It has a large living room with several couches and an area that can be closed off for another bedroom. The rental price is very reasonable for ocean front. Internet access is also available in the unit which was a very nice to have.

Silver Spring MDGreat view/lousy sleep
Left on 08/12/2009 for a stay in August 2009
This is an overall nice unit. The unit accomodates a large group very well.
HOwever, the airconditioning unit in the closet of the 2nd bedroom, which
is ventilated to the master bedroom, was SOOOOO loud that my husband
and I hardly slept all week. It sounded like the unit was on it last legs and
kept us awake most of every night. It was too hot to turn it off and open
the slider, so we did the best we could do. I did report it to the office, but
got no response.
The unit supposedly had direct tv in the living room (worked) and the
master (missing the remote that should make it work). so the master only
got about 4 channels.
The layout was great, the furniture super; the bathrooms could have been a
lot cleaner...mold in the master shower...generally needs updating.
All said, we would stay there again, but hope that the ac is fixed by next
summer.\\ -

Pittsburgh, PAThis unit was not up to the standards we expected from 15 years
Left on 06/30/2009 for a stay in July 2007
Although this was our first time at direct ocean front at the Braemar and we were excited to rent 2013, it did not meet out expectations. Until last year, we rented two bedrooms with dens in both buildings on the bay ends-one facing in and one facing out from the pool. 401 and 1901. We found 2013 to be worn, unclean, and too much stuff
(the bar area shelves were filled with paint cans and owner supplies ( we could not put anything on the shelves) The pots and pans and dishes were
mix and match, the kitchen had so much in the
cupboards (including grocery bags shoved everywhere-it was disappointing that the care was not taken for this unit to be top notch. Even the patio furniture was sparse. We have had groups of 5 or more families rent units the same week we do at the Braemar and have seen many units other than the ones we stayed in and this was low on the list of units. Never have any of our friends been disappointed in the units we have suggested over the years. It was clearly not well maintained for that price of rental. Possibly we were spoiled by the past units. The Braemar had been our summer vacation for the last 15 years with great memories
and friends formed over those years and wonderfully maintained buildings, grounds, and great location.
