PANice location but very run down.
Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We like staying right on the board walk so the location is great. But this particular unit has really become run down. There was electric tape of some exposed outlets;the shower curtain was falling down and nasty;the blinds did not open properly and the balcony door was very difficult to slide;the toaster handle was broken... just to name a few.

Canton, PAA great time in Ocean City, MD
Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We checked in "after hours" and it was very easy, as we were provided with the location and combination of the box that contained the keys to the unit. The unit itself is nice, and the location is great, right on the boardwalk at 12th Street and a 30 second walk to the beach with no roads to cross (which is why we've stayed at this property several times over the years, it's the major selling point for us), but a few things we noticed during our stay: a very unpleasant odor coming from the dishwasher, not sure what it was, but we ran a couple cycles through it and it seemed to go away for the most part. The screws that hold the strip down between the hallway and the bedroom were sticking up and the heads cut your feet if you weren't careful. The bed nearest the closet has a very sharp metal edge on the frame that would gouge your ankle or shin when you went to access the closet. It needs a piece of foam or something duct taped to it. The sliding door to the balcony seemed rather difficult to slide open (which was kind of a good thing, as it meant our kids couldn't go out there without us knowing about it, as they weren't able to open the door!) And towards the end of the week, the keys to the door got real tricky to use, you had to really wiggle the key and work it around a bit in order to get the door to open. Those were the noticable "faults", none of which were "deal breakers" or items I felt I should call maintenance about, but certainly items that should be taken care of before they get worse. The unit has 2 double beds and a sleeper-sofa, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee pot, television in the living room and another in the bedroom, refrigerator, microwave, iron/ironing board, and vacuum. The pool at Decatur House is really nice, and it must have got a makeover since we last stayed in this property. Clean water, bright interior, fresh paint, etc...

Left on 06/02/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We really liked this unit. The location was perfect, the apt was very clean (though I found the floor to be a little sticky, when we got there it was still humid from the last mopping and perhaps mopping is not enough anymore, lol,
Anyway, the living room furniture was cute, the sofa very comfortable, the dining table perhaps too big for the small apt, which made it a bit crowded (as well as the bedroom where it is hard to move around). We were in four, three of us slept on the bedroom and one on the sofa. I think it would be too crowded for 6 people.
also, if you like to sleep early or prefer more privacy, the second floor is probably not the best option.
Overall we were very satisfied. The location couldn't be better, everything was clean and worked well (we didn't try the aC though), we called the staff ahead of time and they accommodated our late arrival and even our late departure (the cleaners were not very busy that weekend, they told us). We would stay here again, but we would love to see some updates on the very old tv and bathroom, for example. The owner could get much better business if willing to invest a bit in modernizing the unit.
Oh yes, the building has a pool, which looked a bit depressing and we didn't test it, but ground level maintenance was lacking, pipes were rusty, cigarette buts were all over the place which I think may have contributed to make some drunks comfortable enough to pee on our stairs (yes, we caught them red handed!) -

This apartment was a fabulous location...loved being ocean front on the beach. Apartment was very nice, clean, well furnished. We had a problem with the toilet which was fixed promptly after we reported it. My only issue was that it really wasn't comfortable for a family. We had three adults and two children and the sleeping arrangements didn't really work out. The sofa bed was horrible, as all sofa beds seem to be. We wound up with the children sleeping on the floor. If I were to go here again I wouldn't bring more than four people.

pavery disappointing vacation stay
Left on 10/14/2010 for a stay in October 2010
have stayed in this unit many times. the unit is well kept and updated regularly. the problem this stay was roaches. the subway directly under this unit was overrun with them and unfortunately they came to visit. century 21 did everything to help and we hope they can get the building management to fix the problem. it's a shame for the owner of this rental because it has always been a nice place to stay and a perfect location. would only recommend if pests are completely eliminated.

A very clean and comfortable rental. We only had 4 adults and were comfortable but 6 would be a little cramped. Great location and view, about a 1 minute walk to the ocean edge. Everything that is Ocean City is within easy distance by foot or car.

PennsylvaniaGreat week at the beach and on the Boards in OC, MD!
Left on 07/30/2010 for a stay in July 2010
I had a nice, concise review all written, detailing the unit's pros and cons, and our stay, but one is only allowed 2000 characters, so here it is in a nutshell:
Check-In/Out - Very easy.
Accomodations - Good.
Pros - Location to beach, boards, shops, restaurants, etc...
Cons - the noise from the "younger, louder, late-night-partying crowd" that seems to congregate on the patio each night.
The Pool - not the cleanest or most modern, but serves its purpose.
The Elevator - slow as molasses in the wintertime.
Wrap Up - If you’re looking for a fairly economical place to stay, with decent accommodations, right on the Boardwalk (no crossing the streets to get to and from the beach each day with kids, umbrellas, chairs, coolers, etc…in tow, which is HUGE for me and the reason we stay right on the Boardwalk each year!), I would recommend the Decatur House! -

We've stayed several times at the Decatur House. Very comfortable there. Great location. First time that we did notice a slight bug problem, maybe to be expected at the beach. Nothing major, but never noticed any before. Only other complaint, same as every year, we like staying off season and they have a beautiful "indoor" pool but they close it after sunfest. Too soon, seems a waste. -

I found the room to not be fancy but it was clean and well taken care of. All of the appliances worked and the beds were comfortable. It was in a great location for being able to park your car and walk to everything you needed. Tended to be a little noisy at night but that was because you were on the boardwalk. From the bedroom, you could not hear any of the boardwalk noise.

Dover, DEGreat Location, Older Condo
Left on 06/29/2009 for a stay in August 2008
Century 21 was fine to work with. The location was great. Indoor pool was nice, but it would be better if someone cleaned the green algea from the pool tiles and roof. Corner condo offered great view of boardwalk and place was perfect for 2 people. Any more would have been too crowded. Water heater allowed only one hot shower. Took hours b4 you had hot water again. That could be a plus or minus depending on who is staying there. Couch was broken. Could be noisy above the businesses- lots of kids hung out at tables past midnight. See the price dropped significantly this year making it a great bargain.
