Unit 24 (Gecko Island) completely gutted and remodeled for the 2012 season! Unit 25 (Palm Island) with many upgrades for the 2012 season. Both with digital flat screen TVs, new kitchen appliances and sheets/towels provided for 2013. Enjoy your evenings or sip the morning coffee outdoors on your private porch.   Nice Condo, but the area...

  Rented this condo for my families summer vacation. The pictures on the website showed a nicely renovated unit. It was ok, but the location of the condo was on this run down multi-condo complex. The grills were in poor and barely usable condition, the laundry was dirty and a few of the machines were broken. The listing stated that there was wireless internet, which there was for the first two days. Once it went out, I called the front desk and was informed that there wasn't internet. That's odd cause the listing stated it and I had it for the first few days.
  
  As for the location to the beach, it was close and a short walk. Overall, since this owned by a private owner, I would suggest getting a different rental agency to handle this rental. Their communication was poor and slow.

  I am sad to see that you rated us so low since it sounds like all the bad comments were mostly about the other areas, not the cottage itself.
  
  Well, the great news are that the condo association is improving the grounds already with even more plans before the next season gets here. Also, the owners have voted to provide a free WiFI for the 2013 season to all registered guests.
  
  I am hoping you will return and check out the changes. We would love to have you and your family stay with us again at our beach cottage!

  Just ok but booked as its pet friendly

  I stayed here with my husband and my inlaws in July 2012 for 4 days. Two key points I was looking for when searching for a place was 1)pet friendly 2) two bedrooms. Trip advisor actually sent me this rental and look at the pictures, location, accomodations, price I booked it. I always say you have to think what is most important to you when searching.
  
  What I liked and reason I booked:
  -2 bedrooms so my inlaws had a room and my husband and I had one
  -we were able to bring our two dogs
  -Our dogs are very clean so you wouldnt know we brought them. This place was clean that I didnt know other brought dogs. In other words, it doesnt have signs dogs are allowed which is great. Means its kept clean
  -close to beach and boardwalk. 4th st location and a block to walk to the boardwalk
  -location is great if you want to take the bus or drive to any of the popular restaurants, bars in OC,MD such as Seacrets
  -Price-I think OC,MD is expensive for the quality of its hotels/condos. This was again reasonable for the amount of days we stayed and could bring our dogs. We werent charged a huge amount for just having dogs with us
  -the bay a block behind the condo/house so you can walk your dogs there which is dog friendly. we had many nice walks there few times a day
  -you can also go fishing on the bay area.
  -Assatigue Island is a 10 min drive from this location. Its a dog friendly beach if you wanted to bring your dogs to the beach one day. Ocean city beach only allows dogs end of sept-May. Not summer months
  -if you just want a place to say and enjoy bringing your dogs because thats most important to you, this is the place for you
  
  Dont book if you:
  -want ocean front view. You dont see the ocean from this condo. its in a center location between the beach and bay
  -if you are looking for luxury. This is just an average place like most of Oc, MD. The house could use an upgrade in the bedroom as far as windows, etc
  -Says it sleeps 6 but it would get croweded. I recommend 4 at the most as there wasnt room to sit and watch tv at nite comfortably as the couch was small and sits 3. if you are young high school/college kids 6 would work for you as you can sleep extra people on the sleeper sofa in the living room
  -kitchen appliances could use replacement. Pots/pans are getting rusty so you couldnt cook in them if you did plan to. Missing silverware such as knives

  Thank you so much for your input. New kitchen appliances are going in for 2013. Also, every season and sometimes several times during the season, we do replace the pots, pans and utensils, as those get a pretty heavy wear & tear throughout the rental season.
