Description from the manager
All of us have some places that are special, secret, and very personal... Such is this romantic oceanfront cottage with an exterior of stone and timber.
Stones Throw at Ocean Point was completed in 1999, and offers all modern amenities in a tranquil setting by the sea. The interior has high-beamed cathedral ceilings and tongue-and-groove cypress-paneled walls as well as some walls of stone.
The furnishings too are quite special; some antique, some whimsical, and all comfortable and high quality providing an environment much above what one would expect in a rental or beach property.
There are ceiling fans in all the rooms, bu...Read more

Edmond, OklahomaPerfect for Two
Left on 03/26/2013 for a stay in March 2013
The wife and I typically stay in large hotels in crowded, tourist centers when we choose our vacation. This year we decided to try something new, my wife was skeptical, but I convinced her it would be an adventure and romantic. If you are having trouble convincing your better half, I have found the combination of adventure and romantic to work 100% of the time. e.x. Cooking me dinner will be an adventure and romantic!
Trevor(owner) and the property manager met us at the airport around 9:30 at night. Thankfully they escorted us to the property or we would have been on a camping trip in our 2 door suzuki go cart(upgrade recommended). The description of the house and pictures sum it up better than I can. The house is not meant for serious cooking, but we cooked breakfast and lunch most days and went to Grace Bay for dinner. Try Bugaloo's for lunch, incredible view and close to the house.
The dock in the back is different than having private access to a beach and after the stay I might say better. Great for sunbathers and relaxing. Quiet and you can literally swim 15 feet and walk to the beach through the shallow water. Wish they had a kayak so we could explore the bay, but that is probably just being picky.
The area is nice and I never worried or felt uncomfortable. Avoid Five Cays, I never had problems, but that is apparently the "rough" area on the island. -

Mullica Hill, NJAwesome couple getaway
Left on 01/30/2012 for a stay in December 2010
This cozy little cottage is nestled between two mansions. Plantings give it a private welcoming feel as you walk down the wood walkway to the front door. It's layout is a little like a deluxe one bedroom suite. The kitchen has a stovetop but no oven and is small but usable. The living area is cozy and the bedroom & bath are standard size. Most important is a good sized screened in porch overlooking Taylor Bay. What more does a couple need?
We love the little cottage as a quiet getaway for 2. There is another is another suite downstairs but they don't rent the cottage as a 2 bedroom. Though you wouldn't want to sleep there, the downstairs suite is convenient because you can stock the fridge with drinks and snacks, and use the downstairs porch as it is closer to the dock.
Now the real reason why it's great. The cottage is on Taylor Bay a beautiful crescent shaped shallow bay. Gorgeous! Still water even when choppy on Grace Bay. The dock is great for hanging out day and night and you can just jump in and swim whenever you want. Taylor Bay beach is an easy swim, or a few minute walk.
