From the moment we arrived at this rental, we knew we had found the perfect spot. The condo was so clean and had a perfect view of the ocean and harbor. The owners have thought of everyone and had little things like extra diapers and toiletries, just in case you needed them. The bottle of wine for us to enjoy was so thoughtful. Books, movies, board games, cards, binoculars, boogie boards, beach chairs, toys...the list is endless. When the internet didn't work, it was sorted out within half an hour. The endless information on the area was so helpful. The area itself beautiful. This was the best family vacation we have had thus far, Disneyland, Seaworld, the beach and a beautiful, clean and comfortable condo with endless immenities. Thank you for the happiest of times.

Very nice condo and lush tropical complex. Walk to great beaches. Great weather. Gary was very accomodating and easy to work with. The condo had all the comforts of home - even a waffle maker, which we used twice. Would stay here again.

We found the condo to be in a great location. The pool was tons of fun for the kids and walking to the harbor for ice cream and dinner was a fun treat! The views from our balcony were spectacular and we ate many meals outside just looking at the ocean. The condo was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a nice vacation. The owners were easy to work with and made sure our trip to California was just what we were hoping for!

My family and I stayed last summer(2009) the house was priced just right for us, EVERYTHING you could possibly need was provided (loved the beach chairs)
You could hear the ocean at night and sit on your balcony during the day and watch the surfers and the waves. My children took surfing lessons thanks to Gary and all his hard work suppling us with any information we called and requested from him (also loved the San Diego Zoo) The Harbour is closely located to you so you can walk over and enjoy all the little shops. We also ran into some overheating problems with our car, Gary recommended a shop to us and a welcomed prayer and our car was fixed in 2 hours. This is a great family to rent from we will definately come back. -

Great Price and location steps from the beach.
Balcony had great sunsets, nice restaurants within walking distance...farmer's markets abound this time of year.
Any easy drive up or down the coast to Laguana or San Diego without the more expensive prices.
Condo facilities very clean, underground parking and pool, and extremely safe. -

My husband and I stayed at the Van Derford's Oceanside condo for one week on our honey moon. We drove in right after the wedding from San Antonio, Tx.. We arrived late but woke up to OceanSide Harbor and the beautiful Pacific right out our window. The condo was great..it had everything we needed..great fireplace..lots of towels..even little stuff like local tour guides and pamphlets and a waffle maker that was wonderful a few mornings! We came in to our favorite bottle of wine and glasses ready!! Very nice touch! We spent our days surfing, and fishing, there's amazing shopping near by..lots of local artists and vintage shops..We did bring our bicycle's as you can get to everything very easily.. 10 minutes one way out of Oceanside is La Jolla and its amazing cliffs (hint: look for sea glass) and 10-20 the other way is gorgeous Pacific beach and its infamous Kona Grill right on the water. We ate fresh over sized burritos there a few mornings..and a little further is San Diego and another beach that I found over 100 sand dollars. So back to the condo..after our daily adventures we returned back to its immaculate grounds. The landscaping is that of Hawaii, paired nicely with both the Harbor and all its activities and the waves crashing in from the Ocean. There is a fabulous pool and great 15-20 person hot tub..loved that!! Gary and his wife where very accommodating and informational, they even added a few days on a last minute for us! My husband and I couldn't afford it this year but we are saving in anticipation of when we can come again!
