Description from the owner
If you're looking for a place to relax and gather your wits about you, this is it. You can go beachcombing and hiking and crabbing and clamming or you can do nothing at all, just sit and watch the beach or watch movies with a terrific sound system.
You can eat dinner at Roseanna's Cafe in town or Schooners just down the road and Michkos for an incredible burger or you can cook gourmet meals in a kitchen that has everything you need, including spices. There are so many choices, but no matter what you decide to do, you will feel cozy and peaceful and welcome. There's nothing stuffy about the house, so prepare to feel at ease

Very comfortable. Good location. Easily accessible. Great amenities. Understanding owners. Owner provided a lot of extras that are not normally found in rental properties.

Madison, WIGreat owners, beautiful view, perfect experience
Left on 02/26/2010 for a stay in August 2008
Oceanside is a great location for a personal retreat, and Terri and Hal's home is a beautiful place to stay. The house is up high enough to get nice views of the ocean and sunset from the deck. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, coffee house or restaurant. There are two bedrooms upstairs and 3 downstairs, so plenty of room for a group. We have stayed here 3 times and have never had any problems; everything works fine. Features are as listed including fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry, deck. Dining/kitchen area has multiple large windows facing the ocean, lots of light and very open feeling. We have visited only in the summer so can't speak to the winter experience, but there is also a fireplace/stove.
Oceanside is a good location and base for day trips to areas along the coast north and south; Tillamook is just a short drive away for more restaurants, groceries or supplies. Enjoy the nearby state parks for hiking or birding. There is no night life in Oceanside so be prepared for peace and quiet! We hope to become regular renters at this fantasic home! -

Albany, ORWonderful place to relax and enjoy the ocean experience.

Terri and Hal's beach home is clean, cozy and comfortable in every way. It's perfect for whole family or just a couple. The view is absolutely outstanding. The kitchen is as fully equipped as a permanent home. I loved cooking there as everything is so convenient. The beds are very comfortable. TV is up to date with many available channels.
The location within the Oceanside village is perfect! It's a quick walk to the beach, to the coffee shop or restaurant below.
We enjoyed our stay there very much and definitely would recommend it very highly. -

Portland, ORlovely, cozy place with great views!
Left on 02/22/2010 for a stay in July 2009
Our last stay at the little Oceanside house was again delightful. Oceanside is wonderful, small, and out of the way, which is our ideal for a travel getaway. The house has spectacular views. It was amazing opening the windows and waking up to the sounds of the ocean, and watching the beach light up. At night, we caught the lights of an occasional boat on the water as the sun went down over the rocks. We could spend all our time inside, watching movies, playing cards at the big kitchen island, cooking, or reading in the sun on the deck. But the beach - really great, only a short walk away, has lots of space to roam. It's getting busier every summer. It seems to be better for quiet walks in the Spring and Summer - but that may be our preference.
We bring the kids and go to the Tillamook Cheese Factory for the free tour and an ice cream cone. There are great small places to get food in the small town of Netarts and a cute little seafood shop as you leave Tillamook to head to the beach. We love the local crabs, mussels, and oysters. Some of the best in the world, (in our humble Oregonian opinion!)
We definitely recommend the place at Oceanside, though reluctantly, since we want it all to ourselves.

Portland, ORA great place to go and relax!
Left on 02/19/2010 for a stay in January 2010
This home in Oceanside is incredibly welcoming with a fabulous view of the Oregon Coast. Oceanside is a small quaint town with very nice people everywhere you go. The home itself is perfect for a weekend getaway and fun for the whole family. I defiantly recommend this for anyone wanting to take a trip to the beautiful Oregon Coast!

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the ocean. I could sit on the deck for hours and just listen. The picture speaks volumes.
The beds are quite comfortable and the down comforters allow you to keep the windows open at night to enjoy the ocean sounds and stay warm while sleeping. Recently installed flat screen TV allows you to enjoy DVDs and Cable TV when you wish. Fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook whatever you wish. My wife and I can't get enough of this house.
And Tillamook is close by for other various tourist desires.
