An amazing vacation with 9 friends and family

Very nice...we did not want to leave!!! Warren was just outstanding and met our every need. He will really be missed by all of us. The grounds were beautiful and the view was spectacular. We would like to go back every year but wish Sylvia, Doris and Nation could serve us, along with Warren. They were like family to us and found ourselves emotionally attached by the time we left...there were some tears! Joyce was very nice to work with when it came time to making any arrangements/reservations and would call to make sure everything was okay and that we were happy. From the first time I called Joyce to inquire about this property to our last day, she was just as sweet as she could be and could not have asked for a better person to rent from. The property is absolutely beautiful and we will return!

We returned for our fifth stay at Castles and each year gets better than the last. The new steps into the ocean are fabulous! The staff continues to be the highlight of each stay - they somehow meet your every need yet grant you the privacy as if they were not there. The attention to detail is amazing - the food is delecious, the bed decorations like on a cruise ship, the house spotless and the grounds are very well maintained. The hottub, pool and steps into the ocean are a waterlovers dream. The two houses are ideal for family/group travel - enough room for a large group yet many areas for small group visits.
If you have never considered renting a villa, one stay at Castles will certainly change your mind. Joyce is very easy to work with when booking your stay and she called to check on us throughout the week we were there. Terrific customer service with an unbeatable view! We stayed at the Castles on the Sea the week of March 11th, 2011 as a family of four (two boys aged 11, 14). We had stayed in several all inclusives in Jamaica over the past 15 years but this was the first time we tried a villa.
Overall we were very happy with our stay. The villa is very comfortable and perched atop a cliff over the ocean providing great views. You can actually lie in bed and look out over the ocean. The pool was small but very nice with a waterfall pouring into it. There is also a hot tub for use which overlooks the pool and the ocean. The front entrance to the property is gated and two of the staff members live on site so we always felt safe. The villas is also about 90 minutes from Montego Bay airport.
The staff were excellent, very friendly, willing to talk about the Jamaican culture and did everything possible to ensure we had a great stay. I definitely like to integrate into the Jamaican culture when I am there so this was perfect for us.
The food was very good as well and they catered to the likes of our family. Our two boys love pancakes and bacon so that was the choice for every breakfast along with local fruits. For two dinners we had a local fisherman drop off fresh live lobster they caught in the morning. The staff cooked it in garlic butter and it was delicious. Having the meals prepared just for us was great as our two boys are picky eaters and we were able to provide their favorites throughout the week. The cost for food and booze for the family was about $500us for the week which included the lobster.
We used Courtney the driver and KnowJamaica tours(Javia) for some excursions to Dunn's River falls, river rafting, grocery trips, James Bond Beach and aTV rides. Both Courtney and Javia are highly recommended. I would pass on the James Bond beach but the White River rafting was great and the atvs with Wilderness Tours was also a blast for our family. Dunn's River falls is mandatory if you are in Jamaica!
Our only disappointment was that we did not swim in the ocean in front of the villa. It was quite windy and rough while we were there so we did not give it a try. Of course, this is no fault of the property. You also have to remember that that the villa is in a residential area. You will get the typical dogs barking at night and other sounds indicative of the setting.
We truly enjoyed the villa experience and we will do it again when we travel as a family. It just provides more room and comfort than going to a resort and living out of a single bedroom. You also don't get the horde mentality like at a resort where you share the beach, pool, buffet, and restaurants with hundreds of other guests. We would also recommend this villa to our friends. -

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful five night stay at this beautiful property. The staff was superb as was the food; can't comment highly enough as to the variety and quality of the meals we were served. The staff was always available but stayed just out of sight to ensure our privacy.
The snorkeling was great although there were no mature fish until you went out approx. 1/4 mile; there are some very nice coral grottos and many brightly colored juvenile reef fish as well as the occasional clown fish.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to our next. -

A breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely tranquil vacation, a perfect paradise. I arrived feeling quite burnt out and left 2 weeks laterwith renewed vigour and joie de vivre. These villas and the manner in which they are presented provide an amazing home from home. The bonus is that the Caribbean Sea is immediately on your doorstep. If you like privacy then this is an ideal place to come. Apart from the sea, just steps down from the pool terrace, you can relax in any of the jacuzzi s which are set in delightful landscaped gardens. The staff are amazing . They take great pride in going out of their way to enhance an already pleasurable experience. My family and I were bowled over with the heady beauty of this place and we particularly enjoyed dining alfresco at sunset on one of the many culinary delights prepared by some talented cooks. Additionally the villas are conveniently located for travelling to the local attractions of Dunns River Falls, Dolphin Cove, Margaritaville, White River Rafting, horseriding, paragliding and skydiving. There are also many quality restaurants a stones throw away. All in all this was one of my nicest vacations and I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.
