Had to clean stones out of the fire pit. They Promote the large living room fireplace but find in the papers that you're not allowed to use it. Several flies in the house. Flatscreen TV but no TV reception; no radio either.
Would be nice to have a small trashcan in the bathroom. -
Painesville, OH, United StatesVacation with Mom and the Girls
Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We had a wonderful stay. The fire place was very nice. The biggest complaint was the cleanliness. The floors were covered with dust bunnies and dog hair. The bedroom dressers were very dusty- we had to wipe them off before using them. The ottoman was missing one leg. All in all a very welcoming cabin!

We went rafting and the Schaefer House was a great place to end the day. The downstairs, porch, and fire area are great places to hang out. The bed rooms could use a little updating, but we were so tired it didn't make a different. Great spot!

Left on 09/18/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We attended a Jeep Jamboree at Nemacolin and the house was in an ideal location. Our dog, Roman, was able to stay at the house, as well. He enjoyed walking around all of the property and watching the wild turkeys. We did lots of hiking at Ohiopyle, which was minutes away. We used the grill just about every night and enjoyed the large fire pit. Super clean! The house is pretty close to the main road, but traffic noise wasn't an issue. For sure we'll be back. Thanks for making our stay great :)

West Chester, PA, United StatesComfy retreat in a convenient location
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The house was just the right size for our family (4 adults and 1 toddler). The location was great for getting between Ohiopyle attractions and all of those on Route 40, and a comfortable and relaxing place to return to at the end of the day. Only complaints was that the view was somewhat marred by the half-finished concrete structure by the front porch, and the floors were not very clean (dusty under the furniture).

pittsburgh, PA, United StatesLocation was good considering the last minute change.
Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The place we were supposed to stay in was Sugarloaf. However, due to circumstances out of the rental company's control (there were problems with the well) we had to re-book a different location. We ended up staying at schafer House, which was nice and large enough to accomidate us, but as close to it's neighbor as my home in the city. This would be a great place if you rented both, and still wasn't bad since the neighbors were very nice. Also we were told that the sound of us outside did not carry into their cabin at night which is also a plus. All in all I would rent from OVR without second thought.

Left on 08/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Seven of us stayed at the Schaeffer house, which is beautiful, close to the park, yet has a feeling of being remote. Only two concerns...could have used large cookware (skillet/large pot) to cook for a group our size.If there was a dvd remote, we couldn't find it. I'm thinking we'll be back next year!

This house was fantastic. The only change I would make is to have a table on the porch.

Air conditioning was bliss in >100F temperatures. Very comfortable, well equipped (but no dishwasher), quiet but close to Ohiopyle and other attractions.

A lovely location, convenient to Fallingwater and Kentucky Knob. Good kitchen, well equipped. Beds and bedding were not good. One bed was totally unacceptable with a broken base and so sank across the width of it. The others were small and in very small rooms which is ok but they had sheets that barely reached the sides of the bed. Advised owner via note.

Stow, OH, United StatesNice Weekend Getaway
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Overall, this house was exactly what we needed for a quick weekend get together with some friends. The house was very close to the river. The grill was brand new and the house was very spacias. It would have been nice if there was a little walking path to go to the top of this hill. It was wild and unkept with partially finished homes. The field close to the house was well kept and perfect for playing. I would stay there again.

Baltimore, MD, United StatesVery nice stay at the Schaefer House
Left on 05/30/2012 for a stay in May 2012
House is very old style farmhouse which I really liked. However the house is on a very busy street so it doesn't have the "out of the way" feeling one may expect. Very pretty property but there are three "half built" houses on the property that distract from the beauty, especially the cement right in front of the house. Couldn't really figure that out. Ohiopyle is such a great little town but everything closes very early. A post dinner ice cream trip found everything pretty much shut down at 8:00 pm.
