Cleveland, OH, United StatesGreat experience
Left on 06/06/2013 for a stay in June 2013
I was very impressed with the vacation rental, it had all amenities that you could need as well as a beautiful peaceful, scenic feel. I was very impressed with the location and it provided a peaceful retreat after a long day of rafting. Everything was great for a get-a-way weekend. Thank you very much!

Lagrange, OH, United StatesMarietta House was Great!
Left on 05/30/2013 for a stay in May 2013
It was a great experience that was fun, thanks to the house's great setting and location in the country. It was a nice layout that worked well for a large group of people.

Canonsburg, PA, United StatesEnjoyed our stay, but would not return
Left on 01/03/2013 for a stay in January 2013
The property was very old and in need of updates, even tho the website stated it was recently updated. The Back door didn't lock, the bathroom door on the 2nd floor didn't shut or lock. There were lots of bugs through out the house, dead and alive. The 2nd floor was controlled by the downstairs thermostat and was EXTREMELY hot at night! I felt for the price we paid, this house should've been in a little better shape. It fit our needs but next year we will be looking for something nicer for that price.

When we first arrived we had no water. We called Tricia and a maintenance man was sent over right away and the water was turned on. He was a very friendly young man and offered his help in anyway. Thank you again for a great stay.

McKees Rock, PA, United StatesOK Stay with Some Unexpected Problems
Left on 09/10/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We have some issues with our stay. We are arriving late from out of town. It is just dark to see the property address number. You don't want to drive onto someone's property put the high beam on and look for the right house #. Then when we get in, there is no water! And we don't get a promise that it will be fixed immediately because it's late to find the guy maintain the property. It took us 32 hours to figure out how to start the water from the basement before a guy showed up, who admiited that this happened before. Lastly the dishwasher does not get the water so we hot dried the dirty dish once with smoke coming out the dishwasher. had to call the maint guy again. The rest of the stay is OK. But I can't recommand it to anyone with what happened at the beginning, especially when you fight through late, long drive to get there.

Reston, VA, United StatesDecent rustic house (but smells like cows)
Left on 08/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The Marietta house is nice enough, but being located next to a working pasture and barn, it frequently smells like cows. Thus, we spent a lot of time looking for other places to hang out, which meant that we got to see a lot of the Ohiopyle area. The newly renovated loft space in the house made it possible for 13 of us to sleep in the house comfortably. But, the bathrooms are a bit odd (one with a shower literally in a bedroom), so I'm not sure if we would have been comfortable with many more people, even if there were enough beds.

Des Plaines, IL, United StatesGreat place for a multi-family vacation
Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Everything was beautifully maintained and the house had everything we needed. The wrap-around porch was a nice place to hang out, and the attic was a great place for a cousin slumber party. The only part I wasn't thrilled about was the back porch, which was not very inviting,

This was a beautiful old farmhouse with large covered porch. A very good location for activities around Ohiopyle. Only problem was old well for water supply that failed us for 12 hrs. making it impossible to bathe, clean dishes and use toilets.

We had a wonderful time. Marietta House is beautiful beautiful and spacious, room for everyone. It's close proximity to Ohiopyle is a big plus. The only suggestion would be to put a lock on the upstairs bathroom.

Avon Lake, OH, United StatesWe had a wonderful time!
Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The only issue we had was a bad storm came through and knocked out the power, we didn't prepare for this to happen, I would recommend bring flash lights and candles with you just in-case this were to ever happen to someone else. The house was comfortable and very clean, we would stay at this home again in the future.
