Our villas, which are based at Soukidia just above the old port of Karovastasi, in Oitylo (36 41 58 ?orth 22 22 24 ?ast) are strategically located in the middle of the Mani territory. They are two independent, newly built villas (230 sq mtrs each) with very easy access that enjoy unobstructed panoramic view to Oitylo bay. You can visit the towns of Limeni and Aeropoli few kilometers away where you can take a walk at the picturesque cobbled alleys and find many café/bars and traditional taverns.

Itilon Bay stretches in front of you, named after the small town of Itilo perched on top of cliffs to the north east of the bay and stretching round to the small fishing village of Limeni to the south. You can visit the towns of Limeni and Aeropoli few kilometers away where you can take a walk at the picturesque cobbled alleys and find many café/bars and traditional taverns.
Thirty minutes drive to the east is Githeion, a bustling seaside port lined with enticing fish restaurants. It was also the location of Paris and Helen of Troy’s first romantic evening together.
Our villa's location is excellent for day excursions. To the north you have the Exo (Outer) Mani, with lovely and unspoilt resorts such as Agios Dimitrios, Stoupa and Kardamyli and fascinating mountain villages strung along the slopes of the stunningly beautiful Taygetus mountains.
To the south you have Mesa, or Lower Mani with places such as Gerolimanas, Alika, Vathia (the infamous tower village), Lagia, Kotronas, Skoutari, Ageranos. They offer a feast of old Maniat tower houses, the world famous Diros Caves, exquisite Byzantine churches and romantic Frankish castles, and exquisite beaches.

I had previously travelled to Mani and I already knew the magnificent setting of the area. This time though I enjoyed the comfort of this new hotel-villa in Oitylo made from stone and wood like in the old days. It gave me all I needed for a calm, comfortable escape from the city. We (me and my husband) enjoyed an ecxellent view to the sea from our balcony and a very romantic full moon!

Just stayed here with my family over Easter. We were actually told by the owner that we were the first guests as both villas were completed over the winter. Main positives are the amazing view, and new & comfortable interior (which had everything). Very private and quiet as there are no neighbors nearby. Location is close to the main town in Mani and also to a very nice beach (though too cold to swim while we were there). Recommend for a family or bunch of friends to spend a relaxing holiday.
