Additional notes from owner
Well behaved clean pets are welcome with additional fee of $25. No pets on furniture and pets must be well groomed and obviously free of any pests such as fleas or ticks. The transient bed tax is 10% and is a law in Ventura County which I comply with. Anyone staying under 30 days is charged the bed tax which goes directly to the government. I have lowered my rates to allow for this additional charge which does not benefit me but must be paid.

This is a simple one bedroom house on a quiet side street near the center of Ojai. Kim is a great host and has fitted her house with all the little things that a traveler might need - e.g. hair dryer, lots of towels, laundry detergent for the washer/dryer, etc.
One of the really attractive features of the house is that it has a small front and back porch so you can open the doors and let the breeze flow through and also sit outside and soak up the abundant sun.
The house was recently remodeled so almost everything is new and clean. Overall, a good value for the money and very convenient.Response from Kim Hanna - 11/30/2012

It was great having you and remember you get 10% off your next stay! As for the tv, I just purchased a great flat screen for people to watch when they are visiting. Unfortunately, dishwashers don't function well with the hard water here and there was really no way to put one in unless I took out some much needed cupboard space--otherwise I considered it. I am looking onto a small countertop model which might be OK and appreciate the feedback. Best, kim

San FranciscoAmazing Treasure in Heart of Ojai

I have stayed at this hidden gem three times over the past year, and each time has been wonderful. In fact, I will be back again with my husband in December for a Christmas away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The owner Kim is great - very accommodating, brings us fresh fruit and avocados locally grown, shares hiking spot tips and other "must-sees" in Ojai. She is a pleasure to work with.
This one-bedroom is styled fabulously, mid-century modern with conveniences that a traveler would not think to bring. It is always very clean. There are even two bikes that we have used several times to explore the town. The bed is amazing (who knew I could sleep so well away from home?!) with very soft sheets. There is a lovely patio to sit and enjoy a home cooked meal, or a glass of wine.
Ojai is an great escape from our busy lives. The place is within walking distance of everything, but is very quiet and serene. There is Farmer's Market on Sunday with locally grown fruits, vegetables and other hand-made amenities (we purchased some homemade soap that we brought back and still love). For Yoga enthusiasts (like myself), on my last visit I discovered a yoga studio that is honestly better than my usual in SF within walking distance. We enjoy hiking around Ojai, and Kim has been generous in sharing her knowledge of the many hikes available. There are several excellent eateries around Ojai, and we several times walked downtown for dinner and wine.
We really cannot recommend this place enough. Several of our friends have stayed here, and my mother-in-law is planning a visit for later this year.
Counting the days until my next visit in December!
