Located just ten minutes from the lovely town of Ojai and only 1-1/2 hours north of Los Angeles, Calliote Canyon provides both total privacy from the outside world and easy access to restaurants, art galleries, beaches and more.

This place is unreal and so amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who asks. It actually exceeded our expectations in terms of scale and nice-ness. We have rented many destination places over the years and were just blown away by all of the little details that are well thought out. So tranquil and fun. Also great was the folks managing the property - absolutely professional and easy to work with. We are planning to go annually.

What a beautiful spot. So quiet and tranquil.The creek running through with the bathing pool was incredible, especially with the sauna being available on coming out. Food was delicious, all the service people were very considerate, our room was excellent. All in all we had one wonderful vacation and without any hesitation can recommend this lovely place

This was my second time at Calliote Canyon Retreat yet I feel as if Ive been there a million times. The home and the landscape are perfect for gatherings of all types: intimate or grand.
Raymond is an "old soul" whos kindness made our whole experience lovely.
Directions are a bit unclear and we had some who had not been there before get lost. With no cell service this was a bit frustrating. I suggest arriving in the day and clocking the miles.
I look forward to returning.

and accomadating. Our intimate wedding was

A group of wonderful ladies spent the first weekend in November at Calliote Canyon for our weekend getaway/book club. Being a group of women who cook, we especially enjoyed the large open concept of the kitchen, truly a cooks delight. A few women even braved the "cold plunge" as well as sleeping out on the front porch with the relaxing sounds of the adjacent stream. There are an abundance of hiking trails in the surrounding area that we took advantage of as a whole. Shopping in the village was a treasure since we didn't have children tugging on our arms for impulse buys.
Calliote Canyon was very relaxing for our group which was right what we needed.

The combination of good friends, a significant birthday year, and Calliote Canyon's beauty added up to simply an unforgettable 3 days. Guests came from the east coast, the Rockies, and the Pacific Northwest -- all of whom have seen their share of beauty -- and are still talking about the weekend a month later. Everything about Calliote Canyon is First Class. From the big and user-friendly kitchen to the dining area to the bedrooms to the outdoor living areas to the sauna and hot tub to the incredible landscaping. It is a gracious setting, yet casual and inviting. I'd love to go back sometime.

Calliote Canyon was an amazing location for our Women's Retreat. A perfect get-a-way for Moms who needed a weekend to rest, relax, and rejuvinate. We took full advantage of all the property had to offer...yoga and meditation in the yurt, soaking and relaxing in the hot tub and sauna, quiet chats and reading creekside, and swimming in the amazing creek surrounded by beautiful bolders and a magical waterfall. Communal meals in the great kitchen/dinning room allowed old friends to reconnect and new friendships to blossom...followed up by s'mores by the bonfire under a star-filled night (it was a new moon)!! We couldn't have dreamed up a more fantastic retreat. We're all looking forward to coming back again next year. Calliote Canyon would also make for fabulous muli-family vacation destination or reunion.

My first thought when arriving at Calliote was 'How
can I live here forever?' What a wonderful,
beautifully crafted estate! From the thoughtful,
colorful landscaping to the hand-made cabinets and
interior finishes, everything about Calliote Canyon
is designed for relaxation, joy, and elegance.
Unlike many rental properties and retreat centers,
there is a feeling of completeness. No details have
been skipped over or spared, which means that our
time spent here was nothing less than perfect. The
process of booking, organizing, and executing our
wedding here was made smooth and simple through the
help of Raymond, who is an exceptional manager for
this property. I wholeheartedly recommend Calliote
Canyon as the destination of choice for a family or
group that wants to be surrounded by peace,
relaxation, integration with nature, and beauty. -

What can we say... we spent a gorgeous week-end in Ojai at Calliote Canyon,
which culminated in us throwing the wedding we had dreamed of....
The setting could not have been better, with every attendee blown away by the
beauty of both the landscape, and the interior spaces of the main house and
the cottages. A stunning week-end that both us and our guests will never
forget. We can't wait to get back!
