The 44 acre Gridley Ranch is surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest on three sides and below it is one of the finest views of the Ojai Valley. The private gate opens onto a pasture that stretches up to meet the old barn, guest cottage, terraced gardens, rock walls and crowned by a family orchard with orange, pixie tangerine, meyer lemon, plum and nectarine trees. Tucked in the middle is a 2000 square foot home with saltillo tile throughout. There are 2 native stone fireplaces, full kitchen with Viking stove, dining room, an ensuite master and guest bedroom.There is a loft and bedroom with fireplace with a detached bath.All of these open... via French doors to a stone patio which wraps around the house. Stepping down from it are five separate rock patios, an ensuite guest house, a bunkhouse, and two outdoor showers. Each setting provides unexpected views of the property itself, the valley below and the mountains that encircle it. With a fire pit, outdoor barbecue, pergola, arbors and open spaces, there are lots of ways to enjoy it, alone or with 200 of your closest friends.
