Additional Location Information
VILLA OJAI - 'Where the Foothills meets the Village'
The Ojai Valley is located between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, about 15 miles inland from Ventura (a 20-minute drive or one-hour bicycle ride from the ocean). The City of Ojai is a small town nestled in the five-mile-wide valley.
Ojai’s tranquil, natural retreat setting and sense of place is perhaps its greatest feature. The Ojai valley, due to its unique east-west orientation, is widely considered one of the most sacred places on earth. Ojai is legendary for its natural beauty, consecrated healing energy, acres of avocado and citrus groves, and its cultural, artistic and spiritual significance. Ojai is known as “the valley of the moon” derived from the Chumash word moon, Awhai.
In the mornings you're awakened by the sounds of nature as you rise to an environment of serene wildflowers highlighted by the orange glow of the rising sun’s reflection on the Topa-Topa mountains that surround the Valley. At sunset, the stunning radiant glow from these majestic mountain peaks is known as the famous Ojai Pink Moment. In the evenings, bright starlit nights under the clear Ojai sky are the norm.
Revel in a back-to-nature feeling, while simultaneously enjoying the benefits of fresh air and nature.
Ojai is the perfect setting for realization of a timeless state of being. The sacred beauty and tranquility of Ojai have always attracted nature lovers, healers, artists, writers, yogis and other spiritual seekers. Join them for a day, or for a lifetime.
This and more awaits you upon your arrival in Ojai.

In addition to largemouth bass, the lake is filled with rainbow trout, crappie, red-ear sunfish, bluegill and channel catfish. Record fish in all categories have been caught throughout the years. Night fishing until 11 pm from the shorelines is held on selected weekends when the moon is full and weather permits.
The Casitas Water Adventure is open throughout the summer. Children and adults alike can enjoy two distinct water playgrounds. For the younger children, a multi-level jungle gym with waterfalls, bridges and slides in a lagoon with water up to 18' deep. Parents can relax in a shady spot while the children play.
For the whole family, the Lazy River offers a cool water ride on inner tubes along a scenic waterway featuring waterfalls, fog filled bridges and jet sprays. The inner tubes are available free of charge on a first come, first served basis. And for the tots, a zero-depth pool sprays water from all angles, providing a safe, fun play area.
