Mango Tree Spa and the owner Rosemary are truly gems. We arrived in the evening with Rosemary waiting for us with a glass of wine and dinner. Breakfast is included dinner is served upon request. I highly recommend dinner at least the first night. The decks have a wonderful view of the gorgeous surroundings. It is a perfect place to relax with nature. The pool is very inviting and there many areas to hike and explore. If you want to enjoy a massage give her plenty of notice. There was not staff on the premises when we were there.We throughly enjoyed Rosemary she has a warm and friendly personality. When we left we felt we had known her for a long time. I stayed here for about 40 days with just me and my 1.5 year old son and it is absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend staying here for several reasons. Rosemary's property is located not far from Uvita and all the tourist things that you may want to see, but will provide the relaxing, tranquil atmosphere that Costa Rica has to offer. I am from Wisconsin and her place was absolutely wonderful. It is tucked away and has a beautiful view of the sunset, mountains, and the surrounding country side. In addition, the fact that there are only four villas provides for a one on one experience with her and other guests. Everyone here gets to know each other and Rosemary provides the best services in regards to where to go, what to see, and will help you with anything you need. Plus she is a great cook and very interesting person who has done and seen many things. I joke that she is a jack of all trades.=) Also I feel very safe staying here which I am unsure I would in the more touristy areas such as Domincal or Uvita.
The property itself is located near some nice roads to walk down that lead to a beautiful river and waterfalls if you hike up the river. She has some dogs on the property too that are so kind and protect us at night, one even sleeps on our porch. Haha. I feel like vacations are for relaxing, not the hustle and bustle of cars and people that many of the touristy places have. Again, I could not recommend this place enough. I hope you enjoy your stay in Costa Rica!!
