Located 800 feet above the Pacific Ocean on a private estate, the Villa Mariposa is 30 minutes south of Dominical, 25 minutes north of the local airport at Palmar Sur and minutes from Ojochal and some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches, exceptional restaurants, spectacular national parks, and all sorts of activities that will satisfy your sense of adventure- Zip-lining, horseback riding to waterfalls, deep sea sport fishing, surfing, whale watching and more.

This exquisite home is nestled in a lush tropical rainforest with dazzling tropical flowers and fruit trees, exotic birds, incredible blue butterflies, a rolling stream with a series of natural waterfalls and pools giving you the feeling of being away from it all.

The property is located on a private, estate minutes from Playa Ventanas, an unspoiled sandy beach with palm trees on a secluded bay surrounded by rocky cliffs and natural caverns with tunnels that you can walk through at low tide to the next beach.

This enchanting home is designed for privacy with a central living and dining area and bedrooms set off to either side. It's ideal for two or three couples, families of 6 to 8 people, or one couple looking for luxury and privacy, with the master bedroom at one end of the house and an equally large bedroom at the other end.

Both main bedrooms have their own double French doors opening to the terrace and pool. You will luxuriate waking up to a tranquil ocean view and enjoy completing the day with a romantic sunset, dining alfresco and stargazing.

The master bedroom features a luxurious Queen-size bed and a gorgeous view of the pool and ocean as well as an ensuite bathroom with large glass block shower.

As beautiful as this house is inside you will be drawn to the large covered terrace outside, which is well designed for outdoor living with both the living and dining area overlooking the inviting pool which will bring you closer to the feeling of the ocean which you see beyond the pool.

With the natural breezes, you will be comfortable lounging on the terrace while watching the ocean, the jungle and the wildlife or enjoying a meal with friends or a romantic dinner.

You can watch the sunset from the terrace over the canopy of lush rainforest or, for a uniquely unforgettable experience, watch the sunset at Ventanas beach.

This house has ceiling fans throughout, including the terrace. All the rooms across the back of the house have spectacular views of the jungle and the ocean through double French doors. The large third bedroom has lovely intimate jungle views.

The vacation property has teak-beamed ceilings and custom hand-made cedar doors and cabinets. The large gourmet kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances opens up to the spacious outdoor dining and BBQ area.

For your added comfort, the rental of the villa also includes mid-week maid service.

There are many ways to enjoy your days: strolling the nearby beautiful pristine Ventanas beach, one of the most beautiful of many beaches in the area, exploring the ocean caves, lounging by the pool, watching jungle life from the terrace, horseback riding and swimming in the natural pool at the bottom of waterfalls, zip-lining through the jungle canopy, ATVing, kayaking, whale watching and taking eco-tours through the area’s incredibly lush tropical jungle.

Adventure treks and tours to Cano Island offering sport fishing and the best scuba diving and snorkeling in Costa Rica can also be arranged by our English-speaking property manager, who has an office in Uvita. She is available to assist you with arrival and departure and booking activates.

Along with easy access to spectacular beaches, you will be close to the wonderfully unique village of Ojochal, which has captured the hearts of many world travellers. As a result, this remarkable village of Ojochal is renowned in Costa Rica for its high level of international cuisine and world class dining experiences.

The Villa Mariposa is 3 hours south of San Jose by car or private VIP shuttle. Another option is a 30 minute scenic flight to Palmar Sur airstrip. From there you can arrange to have a 4x4 rental waiting for you and then drive the 25 minutes to Villa Mariposa.

<p>Spring break and Easter are $2100 per week<br /> A 50% Deposit fee is due upon confirmation of reservation and a 50% Final deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival. $300 US security deposit fee payable with final payment and refundable by check following check-out if no damages. <br /> Weekly rates are for up to six people. An additional charge of $25.00 per person per night or $175 per week for guests in addition to 6 for a maximum of 8 guests Children count as people. The office can be used as a bedroom with two twin raised air mattresses. Weekly rates include cleaning and mid week maid service.
