CanastotaBeautiful cabin!
Left on 03/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Really nice cabin with all the comforts of home! Nice wood smell to the place too! Nice appliances include dishwasher , washer and dryer, that made it a more pleasurable vacation too. We didn't have to spend time at the laundry mat.
The only small issue that we had was that the bed was a bit too hard for us. That would be just a personal preference I guess, and it would be difficult to have a bed that would be to everyone's comfort. -

680222Nice Log Cabin
Left on 01/03/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The log cabin was very nice and clean. What impressed me was that everything was made out of wood. I felt like I was up north not in Florida. It felt very cozy. It was spacious and had a loft upstairs where my daughters slept. They enjoyed climbing up and down the stairs. The bathroom was a bit small, especially the shower. The community was small and very quiet. We spent most of the time fishing by the lake. There was a small deck were we all fished from. My husband and my girls caught a few small fish and three catfish. The owner provided us with excellent service and answered all my questions. I really enjoyed staying here although just for a few days. There isn't much to do or see around there. It is a small town with a limited amount of restaurants or nightlife.

Peekskill, NYAbsoultely awesome!!

I can't say enough great things about this rental...the cabin was spotless, everything was brand new (it even had the fragrance of freshly cut wood), spacious, 3 tv's with great reception, AC, really nice bathroom & kitchen, nice furniture...I took video of the whole place because it was so beautiful. The beautiful water and docks are only a few steps away, (bring fishing gear & get a license because the fish were going crazy!), an industrial size ice machine was conveniently in another cabin just a few yards away, a bbq and a fire ring right out back (how cool!), and the pool was really nice & well kept, too. Plenty of room for the little ones to run around it...
A 10 minute walk down the road will bring you to a giant convenience store (it's even a drive through store!), a gas station with a Subway Sandwich Shop, and - our favorite - a mom & pop bar and grill with the most delicious food I've had in a long time (the bacon wrapped shrimp with steak - both flame broiled was incredible) and the coolest waitress ever - gave us the scoop on the Mudfest, which you don't want to miss if it's going on!
And if you have a wild side, you can hunt wild boar, alligators and other wildlife only about 1/2 hour away, and the bar will even cook it for you, or you can grill it yourself out back! Abe (the cabin's owner) can fill you in - that's actually how I found this cabin.
Let me just put it like this: It was so great that I'm literally considering buying one of these cabins! -

We were very impressed with how nice this cabin is. Clean and well kept. Abe was very attentive to our needs. All the comforts of home with the closeness of the lake. Excellent location, close to everything yet quiet and private. We will be back.
