Okrug is located on the western side of the island of Čiovo. It comprises two traditional Dalmatian villages, Okrug Gornji and Okrug Donji. It boasts a mild Mediterranean climate, dense subtropical and Mediterranean vegetation, an archipelago of picturesque little islands, and many small bays and beaches.
In Okrug Gornji and Donji there are plenty of restaurants and taverns with a wide range of authentic Dalmatian specialities. Along with the sunshine and clear sea, there are various recreational activities: a diving- school, fitness-centre, tennis courts and daily excursions. You can rent scooters and paraglide on the local beach.
The proximity of Trogir (2 km), a UNESCO-protected historical town, offers the opportunity of exploring the 2,800-year-old town centre and enjoying the night life there.
