This three storey mews house is located in Old Colwyn next to Colwyn Bay in North Wales and sleeps seven people in three bedrooms. Gwel-y-Don is a three storey mews house set in an elevated position with views across Penrhyn Bay in a residential area of Old Colwyn near to Colwyn Bay on the North Wales coast. With three double bedrooms (one with ensuite facilities) and a single chair bed in the snug, this cottage can sleep up to seven people. The accommodation also includes a family bathroom, a fitted kitchen with a dining area, a snug (with the chair bed) and a sitting room with sea views. To the exterior of the cottage is off road parking f...or two cars and an enclosed rear garden with outdoor furniture. With the whole of the North Wales coast to discover, as well as being just a short drive from Snowdonia, Gwel-y-Don is the perfect holiday home no matter what you fancy getting up to.

Town: Old Colwyn is a seaside town located to the east of the larger resort of Colwyn Bay. A wide promenade winds along the sweeping bay from Old Colwyn to Penrhyn Bay, with access to a long coastal cycle track, three miles of safe sandy beaches and the pier and harbour at Rhos-on-Sea. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  The owner was very informative regards directions and was easy to contact to discuss any information we required. The location was fantastic- amazing views, steps leading to the beach nearby and all amenities a short walk away (however down a step hill). The home was tastefully decorated with the owner having paid a lot of attention to many areas- hair straighteners in all bedrooms, washer and dishwasher available, biscuits on arrival. Cleanliness was good and the quality of the beds and furniture throughout was excellent. Only thing regarding the home was that was an issue for us was the size of the livingroom- from the photo we expected it to be a lot larger and for the 7 people the home accommodates, this amount of people cannot all relax comfortably in the livingroom. The neighbours were also quite loud (a lot of young children on one side and a dog on the other). However you can only expect some noise when you choose a property between two others. The parking was also a bit of an issue- there is space in the car park for 2 vehicles, however when we returned each day the spaces in front of the property were full so we parked elsewhere, only to have a knock on the door each night asking us to move our vehicle out of 'their space' despite spaces not being allocated in any way with numbers for example.
  Despite all this the property was lovely and suited our needs- very handy having a room with an ensuite.

  Everything you need is in the house.The view from the lounge is exceptional.Shops,walks are close.We will certainly use this home again.
