This small resort is situated on a bay dotted with palms and view of the beach, pool and ocean where snorkeling is a must. It’s about a 50 minute drive from the airport and George Town and only a 10 minute drive to a few restaurants, a small grocery store and watersports shops.

Wauwatosa, WIWonderful private family vacation spot.
Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had an amazing stay at on the bay #104. The area of the island was perfect for us, we like quiet and in touch with nature! Gazillions of hermit crabs on the rocks, little lizards, and the occasional iguanas kept the boys entertained. The pool was the perfect size for our kids ages 13, 11, 9, & 5. The private beach was incredible, with enough fish & other sea life to make a lasting impression on our first time snorkelers. The condo itself had everything we needed. Wait, it could have used a cooler for our picnic lunches, and to keep our beers cold by the pool. We cooked in for 4 or 5 dinners during the week, and it had all the kitchen supplies necessary. The decor was perfect for the islands, and all the facilities, air conditioning, doors, etc worked well. The common areas were kept clean & raked, and Cayman Villas was very willing to help us, but everything was perfect, we never needed additional help! To any other families of 6 who are planning to stay here, don't hesitate, there's plenty of room. Location was perfect for us, but may be off putting to those who don't want to cook. We did go to the area restaurants and they were good, but gets pricey fast with a family.

maineA nice stay

On the Bay # 104 is a decent condo. We found the unit clean and ready when we arrived. I asked the Cayman Villa Company several times about access to the small man made lagoon for elderly people. We were told access was good. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Entering the water here is like climbing down a mountain side if you are have limited mobility and/or not a lot of leg strength. Once in the water, you had best have a strong young person there to pull you out. Otherwise, you will be there forever. The location of the unit is in the rear of complex. Furthest from the ocean. The Cayman Villa people did not seem to know this fact. I should have been suspicious because they never answered the question about ocean proximity directly. Overall, the complex is located in a nice private area, and if you are not mobility impaired I would recommend it. My next Cayman visit will include more direct questions about water entry and exit ease for older and mobility impaired people. Lastly, the beds are very uncomfortable and the sofa bed is not suitable for sleeping.

Gold Coast, Queensland, AustraliaPeaceful side of the island

We were after something different from 7 mile beach and got it! The apartment itself is very spacious, comfortable and contains everything you would expect from a holiday rental. Towels, linen, detergent, soap, shampoo all provided - which was a nice touch.
The facilities at On The Bay resort are limited to a pool, bbq and a sandy beach around an inlet. It is impossible to swim in the ocean directly behind the complex as there is no access - the jagged rocks make it too dangerous.
The closest restaurant is Over the Edge, which is only a mile up the road in the direction of Rum Point. Tukka restaurant is in the other direction and a little further. Both are worth trying.
Cayman Villas were easy to deal with. Keys ready for us at avis even though we arrived late at night. The only disappointment was having to drop the keys back to them (near the airport) even though we were not going in that direction. Leaving the keys inside the apartment when we left would have been a better alternative.
In general - good value accommodation away from the bustle of 7 mile beach. -

This was the perfect family getaway as it offered a great private beach with a pool right there. The condo was clean and offered everything to make it our home for the week. Two great restaurants within a 2 minute drive. Make sure you drive to the East shore for the sunrise!

Boston, MAFabulous condo in the North Side
Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed in this condo in april after the Easter holidays so it was very quiet ( except for my noisy kids). We often had the pool or the small private beach to ourselves. The condo was really amazing. Very spacious, clean, up to date. We had pretty much everything inclusive of ironing board, washer and dryer ( which we didn't use), utensils, everything you could possible need except for food. We drove to Georgetown/7 mile beach a lot but spent much of our time in the North side. Cayman Kai which is further North is beautiful and although the public beaches were quite rocky, there were areas that were sandy and great for kids for eg. Lots of reefs for snorkelers although we have small children and could not enjoy that. This is a great place for families with children or people who want to escape. We do not like very touristy areas that are busy and it was perfect for us.
Oh, and we would highly recommend Cayman Villas overall. They are second to none in customer service. -

PittsburghRelaxing Vacation
Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We had a great & relaxing vacation here. Staff was very helpful in providing us with a crib.
Dont' expect vibrant nightlife in the direct vicinity - there is little or none, and we wouldn't have cared for it. Also don't expect a sandy beach on the premises: the beach is rocky, but there's a small but nice artificial one, large enough for swimming laps. A great public sandy beach is at Rum Point a few miles west. Restaurants we liked: Over the Edge and Tukka. Best get groceries at the airport. Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park was beautiful. -

Angel Fire, New MexicoA great place to relax and enjoy the sun and water.
Left on 03/28/2012 for a stay in March 2012
A comfortable large unit close to the beach. Short distance to great snorkeling, small grocery store and restaurant. The unit was not cleaned or sheets changed when we got there, but clean sheets and pillow cases were available for us in the closets.
The best thing about the unit was its size and location. The unit needs a vacuum that can deal with sand -

Checking in was easy and quick and the directions to the unit were very helpful. The unit itself was very clean and well looked after. We stayed for five weeks and found the unit and the whole complex to be quiet and relaxing. We had all the kitchen items needed to prepare most of our meals. The dishwasher only worked on the heavy cycle, other than that everything else was fine. The barbecue used by the complex was in bad shape and needs to be replaced. The location of On the Bay is on the north side of the island and a vehicle is definetely needed. The complex has a small beach and a small cove to swim or snorkle. On many of the days we were the only ones on the beach. The grounds of the complex are very well looked after; neat, clean and tidy.

CanadaRestful Time in Cayman Islands
Left on 03/25/2011 for a stay in March 2011
My wife and I enjoyed a delightful 4 days in the Cayman Islands and were based out of this lovely condo.
The location is about 30 minutes from the airport at Georgetown and we rented a car for the time on the island.
The location was quiet and the weather was in the low 80 degrees range for our entire stay. With a car it was easy to travel through out the island.
The condo itself was in great shape and really close to the pool and beach area of the complex.
If you are looking for a place at reasonable costs that allows you to enjoy the beauty of Cayman and be away from the crowds I would recommend this unit. -

We were amazed at the size ot the condo. Huge! Right on the ocean, very quiet and pretty. Full kitchen, two bedroom and bath with Jacuuzzi indoor tub. Unfortunately the sea was too rough for shore dives so we will bve back!
