Come share the unforgettable sunsets on the Mill River located just moments away from the fairways, lakes and streams of the Rodd Mill River Golf Resort; one of Prince Edward Island's most popular and affordable playgrounds rated four stars by ‘Golf Digest Places to Play’. Approximately, 30 minutes West of Summerside you will be surrounded by the mix of colors from rich farm land, forest and well kept landscapes of Prince Edward Island. Only moments away from the miles of sandy beach along the Gulf of St. Lawrence; your chosen stay will be strategically located for you to experience all of what our Island has to offer.

Our newl...y renovated 2 bedroom cottage with large wrap around deck is perfectly situated on hill top overlooking the scenic Mill River. The warmly decorated cottage boasts a cathedral ceiling, modern furniture with electric fireplace and controlled lighting to set whatever mood you desire. Cottage on the Mill River offers all of the essential amenities that you expect and more such as complimentary guest passes to local attractions and ‘Always Fresh. Always’ Tim Horton’s Coffee. Amenities include; full kitchen with new dishes & utensils, microwave, coffee maker, flat-screen satellite TV and DVD player, front load washer & dryer, bed linens, towels, full propane BBQ , fire pit and patio furniture. All rooms offer a generous space.

If you are looking to experience Prince Edward Island you will have plenty of options during your stay. Visit the dunes at West Point Beach and later take a tour of the historic West Point Lighthouse. Roam ‘Up West’ along the North Cape Coastal Drive where you can stop to peek out over the breath taking ‘Red Capes’. Purchase lobster or other seafood or just stop and hear one of the many stories that will be shared by the friendliest fishers who can always be found nestled within the many ‘Harbours’ along the shore.

After playing on one side of the island you will only be moments away from the other side. Here you will find places like the Jacques Cartier Historic Park and Beach; the very place where the first European visitor in year 1534 came ashore. ‘Jacques Cartier’ admired our red island by explaining “this is the fairest land 'tis possible to see!” Next ride the waterslides and laugh as you splash about on the bumper boats found at the very reasonably priced Mill River Fun Park. Stroll the scenic Confederation Trail or if you are interested in getting your hands dirty jump on board a fishing vessel where you can bait, set and haul lobster traps off Northport. Learn how to shuck the world famous Malpeque Oyster and steam the flavourful Island Mussels. We can assist you in setting up an excursion with our local fishers so you can experience our Island way. You will also find in the area the famous O’Leary Potato Museum and the North & West Cape Windmill sites and Mill River Marina. The Lennox Island First Nation Ecotourism Centre is located in the Mi’kmaq community of Lennox Island.

For those looking for musical entertainment you will be able to tap your foot and sing along at the popular Small Halls Music Celebrations, the Lot 7 Ceilidh’s , Dinner Theatres and you could even visit Stompin Tom Connor’s School House in Skinner’s Pond.   Very nice cottage! The owner's were always there when needed. We stayed for 3 nights in august, 4 adults, and 2 children, had lots of room. The only fault was that it was too far away from Cavendish,and that's where the best amusement parks were for the children. However, there was a grocery store just 5 minutes away, if just staying in the area.

  I dont know where to start. It was a beautiful cottage.Beautiful spot. Very clean. It is one of the most relaxing and calm places i have been to in a long time. If you need a place to relax and get away from everything, i highly recommend this cottage. There is a grocery store within about 5 minutes.
  Need a home away from home...this is it.

  My husband, myself and my brothersz family stayed for one evening. After searching for a cabin that would allow us to stay one evening as we just wanted to explore PEI over two days. We were running late and the hostess was super sweet and helpful. The cabin was a perfect size for our crew and nicely renovated, clean an comfortable at a very good price.

  This cottage is in a perfect location and is in excellent condition! It is very clean and is well stocked with everything you will need! The view of the Mill River from the wrap-around deck was a beautiful backdrop for our breakfast.
  
  The owners are extremely helpful and kind. Unfortunately, the hot water heater was damaged by a power surge the week before our visit, so we had to go without hot water... (no fault of the owner) but he was very accommodating. He gave us a great discount and was very apologetic. They had it fixed asap and the hot water was back on within 24 hours.
  
  I highly recommend this cottage. The location could not be better for exploring the Western end of the Island. It is clean, welcoming, and is a perfect place to relax overlooking the Mill River.
