This condo is beautifully decorated and has lots of space. Featuring two bedrooms (both with queen beds and TV's with VCR's) and a full bath (with stackable washer and dryer) upstairs. Master bdrm has gas fireplace and view of Portage Lake. Open living area has full sleeper sofa, gas fireplace, partial view of water, TV and DVD player, gameboards, half bath, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table for four.

OhioPortage Point Inn- Beautiful beach/comfortable condo

We found that the condo itself was beautifully decorated, clean, pleasant and very comfortable. It is a second story condo with the two bedrooms located on the third story. The Lake Michigan beach was somewhat secluded, sandy, clean, beautiful and a delight to walk. The Lake Michigan beach certainly redeemed the few things that I found disappointing.
First, "restaurant on premises” means that the condo is above the restaurant. However, apart from some kitchen noise noticed on the living room floor (third story bedrooms were quiet) this was not an issue. Secondly, for the price I was disappointed that no facial tissues were provided. Also, the condo kitchen was not equipped with a cork screw. Finally, the second bedroom's wall air conditioner was so high, that I had to stand on a chair and stretch on tip toes to turn it on.
The Inn itself was charming. Since the condo had separate owners from the Inn it was unclear to us if we could use the pool and participate in the organized Inn activities. While the condo was "super clean” the stair well and hall ways were quite dirty and the condo neighbors left stacked pizza boxes and full garbage bags in the hall.
