We've stayed at both, and they're so so nice. Have the feel of a home, completely set to cook real meals, or just stop in and relax, and the view of the dock from the front porch is perfect. Not much traffic goes by, but everything is convenient for swimming, boating, fishing or biking.
The beds are comfortable, too!

Two friends of mine wanted to go off the beaten path in Maine so we spent 4 days this past July in Rangeley. Friends of ours had recommended we stay in one of the "twins" --they had stayed there the summer before, and I'm so glad we did. The pictures say it all--we stayed in RePete and it was so cute and charming. Very clean and comfy with lots of great little details. And the location is the best. it's kayak heaven there--right between two gorgeous lakes! Sadly, we didn't see any moose..maybe next time. Would definitely stay there again.

The cabin was well-equipped and had everything one might need. And the nearby area is beautiful. We climbed a mountain, cruised the lake, and visited shops and a museum. The sky at night is incredible. We should have made our stay longer, as it's a long distance from our home.

Pete and Repete are a comfortable base from which to explore the Rangely area. The setting is lovely and Mooselookmeguntic Lake is steps away for great kayaking and boating. I like the location -- a short car ride to Rangely stores and restaurants and other outdoor pursuits -- yet you don't ever really need to leave Oquossoc.
The cabins are simply but adequately stocked and the beds are comfortable.
