My husband and I stayed at the Villa from Dec. 15th to the end of December. It was so nice to wake up to the beautiful view of the Sea right outside our bedroom window. Eating all of our meals out doors on the veranda was Heavenly. Mark our Host and cook had us great prepared meals. The private beach was beyond description.

Left on 05/03/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Everything was organized and easy to do. There was no problem with getting around to see whatever I wanted, each day was open for discovery and so stress free. Whatever I needed, Mark provided, whether it was advice, planning a trip to town, or finding a dive shop. The home stay was beautiful, the privacy, access to beaches, the grounds and personal quarters, all very comfortable and clean. We especially loved the fresh produce on site for breakfast. For the location, it was very easy to get around, Oracabessa was close enough to stop in for a quick, authentic bit of local fare, and entertainment, the taxi service once understanding how to use it was reliable and safe, and the access to Ocho Rios was very easy for groceries, and also tourist sights. I especially loved the farmers markets and local shops. The private, clean beach and being able to independently find my way around was one of my favourite things too!

The property was just incredible and you will fall in love with the amazing view that over looks the beach. My parents, my husband and I never seen anything that awesome. The staff is all very friendly. Food is what ever you desire to have on the manu, all i can say is you have your own personal Chef and the food is delicious:-) need i say more? USAVery relaxing and care-free vacation
Left on 11/06/2010 for a stay in August 2010
Beach Crest made for a great vacation with my friends. We had the whole house to ourselves. Didn't have to be bothered with pesky staff or neighbors. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They made our meals at our request and everything they served us was excellent. The rooms were very neat with air conditioning, which can be hard to come by in places like this. Each room also had its own private bathroom so we didn't have to share. We had the pool and beach all to our selves also. It was like staying in a home away from home. I would definitely return to vacation at Beach Crest again.

My trip to Jamaica and my stay at the Beach Crest Villa will always be one of my most memorable and enjoyable vacations I'll ever take. The location of the Villa was absolutely breath taking. Waking up every morning and being greeted by the warm sunshine and remarkable blue water of the private cove; soothed my soul. The Villa was warm and welcoming and Mark and Linda were incredible host and hostesses. I wanted for nothing. I only wish that I could have stayed longer. I look forward to my next vacation in Jamaica and would consider no other place to stay than Beach Crest Villa.

Saint Albans, N.Y.Nice view and great people but could use some improvements
Left on 09/13/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My family and I stayed at this villa from august 28 thru September 5th. Though the hosts were great people and the view was spectacular. I would have hoped to have seen less of them. I was not aware that we the guests would have to share the kitchen with the hosts; I was disappointed with that and wished for more privacy. I had to wait a few mornings to use the kitchen because it was being used by them. Had I known this prior I would have not chosen this location. In addition, the fridge and cupboards were filled with the owners items, leaving not much space for ours. The fridge is old, there was only a small 19 inch TV in the living room and the furniture is old as well and the villa was not cleaned prior to us getting there. there was visible dust in the bathrooms, etc. If the above items were improved it would make it a great vacation spot. They also had a dog Bo who had to be locked away if we wanted to go somewhere else on the property. To not bother them much I didn't venture down to the beach area which I also had to notify them when I wanted to go. The experience robbed me from the privacy I was expecting. The owners need to look into having their own area locked away from that of the visitors. For what I experienced I felt as if i was staying with friends/ family for a vacation and not for a villa we paid for. For the cost I would have expected to see updated furniture, refridgerator and less of the hosts and more privacy.

1st & 4most Mark & Linda (the owners) are wonderful hostess. They are so friendly & make you feel very welcomed & comfortable. Mark is extremely funny & had me laughing all week & Linda is sweet & warm-hearted. I had 3 last min. guests that came to stay for most of the week & Mark and Linda were so accomodating to all of our needs and requests.
I stayed at Beach Crest Villa from 7/23 - 7/30. I traveled w/ my 18yo son. It is located about 20mins. East of Ocho Rios town. Very beautiful, quiet area of Jamaica. It is a great location is you are looking for a nice, quiet place to chill out & relax. You have your own beach area & pool & nobody is around to bother you. You can walk into town from the villa & the people are very friendly. The villa is nice but needs a little updating. It is a great value for the money... 3 bedrooms, 3 /12 baths, nice size living/dining room, kitchen, covered balcony (very large & wide... length of house over looking the ocean) where we eat every morning & nite (so beautiful), private beach & pool (can't get any better). The service is excellent & only had to buy the food (very reasonable) & they cooked up & served us delicious meals.
If you want to escape the quiet & sitesee or need some action they have a great driver that is extremely experienced driving all over the island for very reasonable rates. And of course annette is extremely warm and friendly and will take good care of you during your stay. She is a great housekeeper/cook and can cook any Jamaican dish you request. She would always make up the beds & put flowers & make swans out of towels (so pretty& creative). I celebrated my birthday while at the villa & Annette set a beautiful table& chairs. Me& my guests were served dinner formally (white jacket). We enjoyed fresh caught lobster & Mark made the best carrott cake ever. This was one of the best birthdays I celebrated.
Overall I had a fantastic time & would definately stay again.Response from Walt, Bonnie and Mark - 08/06/2010

This was the first time we rented a private villa and we are so glad we
discovered Jamaica this way rather than go to an all-inclusive resort where
you don't get a real taste of the local culture. The villa itself is very nice,
clean and well-kept and has all the amenities you could want including
internet. The hosts and staff, who have separate quarters, are never far
away and take care of all your needs, but they are also very discreet so you
have a lot of privacy. The private pool on one of the two decks has a great
view of the ocean on two sides and the tropical forest on the other. The
upper deck is where we had all our meals with an amazing view of the
Carribean sea and the sound of the waves - we counted 7 shades of blue in
the water! Our first morning we thought we were still dreaming as we
stepped out from our room onto the balcony under the gorgeous sunlight,
with the breathtaking view, and our table was already set with beautiful
flowers. A hearty breakfast followed, our first taste of Mark's great cuisine
which amazed us all week long. On our first day he prepared a menu based
on our taste and took us on a fun shopping excursion for the week's
supplies, where we were thrilled to discover the local market with its unique
charm and abundance of fresh, colourful and fragrant produce and other
delights. Mark was more than happy to introduce us to some of the local
dishes, which he has artfully mastered - it's obvious cooking is his passion!
Annette brightened our stay with her fresh flowers every day, on the tables
and on our bed. Both Mark and Linda were very helpful in arranging
transportation to various attractions and providing advice and information
on places to visit. Of course, one of the highlights of our stay was the
beach, a private beach that feels like your own private oasis. It is
meticulously maintained so you can walk bare feet in the warm sand right
into the warm turquoise waters of the Carribean. Just one warning: You may
never want to leave -

Washington, DCBest Vacation Ever!!!!!!
Left on 03/05/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Did you ever dream of having a resort to yourself? Well here it is!!!!!!! We Americans are so used to being on a forced march everytime we go away, meals and activities at a certain time etc. and all with hoards of people. How do we ever find time to chill out??????? Well, HERE IT IS!
My friend tipped me off about vacationing this way, in a villa with our own personal staff to cook, clean and cater to us, all ON OUR SCHEDULE! My family and I found this cozy, charming home with the most gracious hosts on the ocean with a pool in Ocho Rios. Between the beautiful scenery, the immaculate home and the out of this world food I thought we died and went to heaven! After arriving we sat down w/Mark and worked out our personal menu for the week. We decided we wanted lobster and crabs for our last evening there. That last morning, the fisherman pulled up to our beach with fresh lobsters and crabs! It was awesome!
We relaxed in this beautiful setting and ventured out by ourselves for some daytrips with our own driver/tourguide! Dunn's River Falls, Shaw Park, Reggae Beach...so much fun!
Mark and Linda made our vacation the most memorable we've ever had! If you want a once in a lifetime REAL JAMAICAN EXPERIENCE without the hassles of a resort, Beachcrest Villa is the answer! We will definitely be back next year!!
