Decaturstarted off badly but ended pretty good

The beginning started off horrible because we went in to a condo that already had some one staying in it. The Little boy was the only one in there, and I know we scared him very much. It could have been worst. After all of that, everything went well. We were put in a very nice place.

Our experience was wonderful. The apartment was nicely furnished and we had no problems. Parking was good. Access to beach area was good. All in all, we had an excellent vacation.
The bad part came when we tried to rebook another room for this summer and could not get a return call from the booking agent. We ultimately went to another agency for a room.

702 has been updated some what, the beds are in need to be changed (you can do ok for 1 night),the ceiling fans sound like its sick, we left tired from a lack of sleep. There is no table on balcony and you can't see the sun set, view is blocked. The decor was pleasant to look at, but the iron chairs and bar stools are very heavy to move. Summer Chase is clean and convient to beach and many stores. If the above isn't important to you its a good place to stay.

The place had a wonderful view of the gulf. It was not conveniently located to the area attractions for the kids. Although, it's only 10 miles over to Gulf Shores, it took a while to drive at 30 mph. with traffic. The balcony rail didn't seem too sturdy and I wouldn't let my kids lean against it. The glass patio door was really heavy and hard to open but not really an issue. No curtains in the living room made watching tv a little difficult during the day. I took my own cleaning supplies and only had to use them on the tub in the master bath. The dings/chips in the tub made it appear dirty. There was mold along the edges and drop of bleach did the trick. The hall bath wouldn't drain when the shower was on; however, the kids liked it.:( The cabinets are outdated but worked for what little we needed. The place was nice and quiet! The beach was amazing.

Our family highly recommends Summerchase. We have spent the last three summers in a wonderful condo on the 7th floor.
The beach is beautiful and relaxing...not too much congestion at this time. We plan another visit next summer!
This is a definite for family atmosphere...you can grill outside, enjoy dinner outside on the bay, crab hunt at night (so be sure and take your flashlights and buckets), play woofle ball on the beach during down time and swim in the nice pool if you wish!
My recommendation would be to go to the dollar store before leaving and buy your basic goods..paper towels, plastic cutlery, cups, toilet paper, dishwashing detergent (small), coffee filters as well as coffee, soap, etc...this will save on the grocery bill once you arrive.
Have fun and enjoy family time and the beach!!! -

Summerchase is located along a stretch of beach that is not crowded. If you are looking for a place to truly relax, it is the best. Close to everything you need without all the noise.
