Condo was well kept and the entire building was kept up very well. Plenty of amenities . Safe fun clean with a great beach. Great for the whole family.

The check in/out process was a pain b/c you had to actually stop by the office to get your keys. The building itself is fairly nice with good amenities (minus the grouchy security guard). The elevators are generally quick. The condo itself is in serious need of an update. All of the headboards are loose and the cleaning company puts towels behind them to keep them from banging the wall. The sheets were so hard they rubbed my skin raw. There was mildew around the drain in the master shower, as well as around the door. The doorknobs to closets/pantry were falling off. The tv in the 2nd bedroom was broken (looked like someone broke something off in the ant in. The lint filter in the dryer was broken off. Someone had duck-taped it back on, but the duck tape dried up and came off..therefore, everything you dry gets covered in lint. The wallpaper is peeling badly and in some places was held on by scotch tape. The air conditioner leaks, the filter was completely wet and you could see rust stains running down the hot water heater. A puddle of water was always on the tile in front. The refrigerator leaks inside, so the vegetable drawer always had water in it. The kitchen has plenty of glasses, but if you're looking to cook, bring your own mixing bowls, measuring cups, knives, cutting board, and can opener. They have 2 can openers and neither one works. They have steak knives, but no cutting knives, and no cutting board. There was dust an inch thick on all the furniture, as well as sand. The first thing we had to do was clean the bathrooms and sweep and mop. The mattress pad was so worn out that it would not stay on in MB. The screen door to balcony was off its tracks. There were 3 white plastic chairs on balcony, one of which you couldn't sit in bc the legs were not sturdy. I visited other condos within this building that were very nice, as they had recently been updated. Spent 4500$ for a 2 week stay and feel cheated.
Don't think you're safe just because you have a paid reservation

Young's Suncoast did the best they could, but be aware, they allow owners to pull their rooms without fulfilling their reservations. We had reserved, and paid in full, 908 and 903 - as we needed a total of 6 bedrooms. Less than a month before our vacation, Young's Suncoast informed us that 903 had sold and the new owner's would not allow us to rent it. Seems like there could have been something in the seller's contract to enforce prior obligations. I don't know if all rental agencies operate this way or not. Suncoast arranged with another company for us to have 907 next door, but it was only a two bedroom. They would not refund the several hundred dollar difference per room. The only way we could get a three bedroom would have been to separate our families into different condo's altogether. The best they could do was a $25 gift card to the shrimp basket. Btw, you should definitely go there. Their potato salad is amazing.
The room itself (908) was fine. The dryer, kitchen sink faucet, and ice maker needed repair. Other than that, it was great.
Wonderful fall vacation

Area was very convenient to grocery, shops, restaurants, etc. Loved the fact that the condo was off to itself(no other condos or buildings next to it),made the beach more private. Loved our wrap around balcony. You could see the sunset over city as the night went on(beautiful). It was so relaxing! Certain areas within the condo could use some updating(e.g, peeling wallpaper on walls, broken cabinets in bathroom, softer mattress for 2nd bedroom). Everything eles was great. We had everthing we need for cooking and preparing meals. We even received a coupon booklet for Publix grocery. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We will be back very soon with more family!

Our stay at Summerchase Condos was an overall pleasent one. They do have very strick rules for children under the age of 12 and our room took over a day to be cool enough for us. Will we stay there again? Probably not. Only because I have discovered a few other places that offer more for kids. Would i recommend it? Yes.
A good time!

We have been guests with
Young's for five years. We love the service we have receive, the personnel are friendly and helpful, and we particularly love Summerchase. The facility is always clean, well kept and the beach is incredible.
This year, however, we were not at all pleased with the home we rented. I actually filled out two survey cards to be sure that our issues were brought to someone's attention.
The home just did not live up to the standards that Summerchase has always provided. Overall look was just shabby. Carpets had paths and we actually found safety pins in one bedroom carpet, curtains were off the rods, some would not move to open and the liners were torn in the living room area. Smaller bedroom closets had extra (broken) chairs and lamps that made it at the very least difficult to use for our personal items. Second bathroom cabinets were noticeably worn, spots of some kind on the walls, stains in the tub and mold on the shower curtain. Several lamps and overhead fixtures were either not working or there were no bulbs at all . . . most notably in the kitchen.
Air conditioning unit had condensation to the point of puddles in the utility closet. Trying to keep the unit clean was even difficult with a dustpan that was broken in the center. Coffee pot had no filter receptacle and the bottom of the pot was cracked all the way across. It finally did break on the last day of our stay and a major cut was received. I know this is someone's home, but I really feel the condition needs to be addressed since it is definitely not of the same standard as the other homes we have stayed in. Read more
Response from Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals - 07/24/2009
We did receive both comment cards and the issues listed have been brought to the attention of the owner representative and the owner. Also, the housekeeping company that cleans that unit has been made aware. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

This was a beautiful condo. For the past few years we have stayed at a different condo each year. From now on we will stay at this condo. Very roomy and comfortable. My whole family really enjoyed it. It will also be great next year when the indoor pool is finished. I would highly recommend this condo to friends and family.
