North Attleboro, MAEnjoyable vacation
Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in January 2013
My husband and I and our three young adult children, ages 24, 21, and 14, stayed at this house the first week of January 2013. Each child was able to have his or her own room, which was a huge benefit over staying in hotel rooms. The free wi-fi was a special bonus. Although the house is not directly on a beach, it was conveniently located between the bustling area of Oranjestad and the quieter Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach. As long as you have a car, you can easily visit both areas.
The Marandi Restaurant, just across the street from the house, was our absolute favorite dining experience. Katy gave us many suggestions for activities, including DePalm Island and the DePalm jeep tour, both of which were a lot of fun. My son obtained his scuba certification at Jads Dive Center by Baby Beach, a place that he highly recommends.
Katy stocked the house with food before our arrival and brought more during the week. She went out of her way to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The house is quiet and comfortable; not fancy and lavish but a great way to save money and have a lot of space. -

Virginia BeachReal aruba Experience
Left on 05/22/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Our stay at Villa 9 was the perfect aruban retreat, with all the comforts of home. Thanks so much to Katy, who truly went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay in aruba an unforgettable experience. She picked us up from the airport and filled us in on many of the gems aruba has to offer that only a local would know about. The house is set in a beautiful, private yard, with a sundeck overlooking the Caribbean Sea. There is a full kitchen with an open floor plan. The internet was fast and the air conditioning was nice and cold. We especially liked having access to all of the beach gear; coolers, deluxe beach chairs (with built in pillows), etc. We we're on a budget, but that did not keep us from enjoying some of the best dining in aruba; all conveniently located a short distance from the Villa. For a casual lunch I would recommend the Balashi brewery (they also have one tour a day at 10:15 am); and also G&G; pizza was amazing. For waterfront dining I'd recommend fresh caught seafood from ZeeRovers (closed Mondays); and of course Marandi's right across the street (they were the only place over $10 for food and drink, but definitely worth it). As far as beaches go my favorite was Baby Beach. It's huge and it doesn't cost anything to park your chair under one of the trees in the sand for shade. Our time in aruba was fantastic, and much of that had to do with our stay at Katy and alby's Villa. They're such great people, like family, you can trust that you'll be well taken care of when you stay there. We can't wait to visit again!

Refreshing!!
Left on 05/17/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We stayed for 8 amazing days. The house in clean and very roomy. Plenty of space to relax with a pool, sundeck, and both front / back yard sitting areas. We opened the large sliding doors in the evenings and enjoyed the fresh air breeze. Every thing you could want is at the house for your use from coolers, beach towels to snorkel gear and a blender for cocktails. Every evening we would take a walk and enjoy the sunsets without all the noise from the high rises and traffic. I would highly recommend this great vacation spot for anyone who justs wants to unwind and have a very relaxing vacation at a great price. The owners go out of their way to help accomidate all your needs!! Can't wait to go back.

Highly recommended. My Crew and I travel all over the world on projects. Aruba is always one of our favorite places to work and staying here is like home-away- from-home. A full house with patios and wireless internet - all three or four of us with our own room and bathroom. It's on the southern coast with a great restaurant right across the street on the water and decks to sit out on and relax to by yourself after work. We really like that it's in a quiet area and in a laid back part of town but close to everything. Full kitchen with plenty of space to move around and be to yourself if you want. And it's 5 minutes from the airport - 8 minutes from Oranjestad - and 15 minutes to San Nicholas. You get personalized maid service and laundry done and folded on your bed three times a week (or whenever you need it). If you're tired of staying in hotels and want to be as homey as you can get you need to give this place a shot. I'd recommend it for work or vacation trips to anyone who asked. Enjoy - I know we will next time we're down there.

When it comes to experiencing aruba, there is no better place to stay than at Katy and alby's villa. I arrived with a group and was excited to see the home had a large, open floor plan. The kitchen was already stocked with everything you'd need to cook a meal. The living room has ample space to lounge around. A laundry room is located out back, so we didn't have to pack excessive clothing, knowing we could wash whenever we needed to. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and the showers were amazing; however, our favorite aspect of the villa was the sun deck overlooking the Caribbean. It was the perfect place to unwind after an eventful day. The location was another thing we enjoyed. Located on a quiet street, we could escape the hustle and bustle of Palm Beach and Oranjestad while still being only a short car ride away. Having the peace and privacy of a residential area as well as being able to drive to the tourist zones and enjoy the excitement and perks associated with those areas made for a perfect vacation.
It's no wonder most of Katy and alby's guests are repeat visitors. Once you rent from them, you won't want to stay anywhere else in aruba. They truly make sure your vacation is comfortable and memorable. Also, having the home and cell numbers for them provided us with extra peace of mind. Knowing that if we ever had any questions or problems, they would always be a phone call away.
Staying here gave us the freedom to experience aruba in a way most visitors don't usually get. One day we might be hiking in the national park, the next day we could snorkel at Baby Beach or shop in Oranjestad, all on our own time at our own whims while having a comfortable home base to go back to each night. Katy even gave us a giant wheel of Gouda cheese from Holland. It was the perfect gift. My family and I will be enjoying that cheese for the next few weeks, but the memories of our wonderful vacation will last much longer.

I really enjoy feeling like a family member. Katy and alby always makr you feel at home. I have been going to aruba for 10 years and staying at the VistalaMar. It is wonderful to hang out with the locals more than the tourist. It is not the Hilton but better.
