FAILTE has been totally refurbished to a very high standard and is more a home away from home than your typical holiday let. Located in Orebic Old Town it has a shaded patio, terrace and garden with olive, vines, kiwi, orange,mandarin and lemon trees.
Master bedroom ensuite has queen size bed, second and third bedrooms have 2 twin beds each. The couch in the sitting room is suitable for one adult.

FAILTE is on a quiet street just off the mail road. It is only 2 minutes walk to pebble beaches and small jetty and another 3/4 minutes to a fine sandy beach.This tends to be crowded in August but there are many other places a short drive away eg Viganj, Podabuce, Trpanj as well as Korcula.

Orebic is not on most UK travellers' radar, thank goodness!! We went in June and it was gloriously quiet and peaceful but with enough restaurants and supermarkets to fulfill all our needs. The flat itself is fantastically well equipped, particularly if you have small children. The three large bedrooms meant that we, our toddler and her granny could each have our own room. As the description says the fact that it is all on one level makes it ideal for toddlers who can wander in and out safely. The terrace is lovely and secluded and the family upstairs very friendly. The sea is lovely - we were slightly worried that the absence of sand might be an issue for children, but she spent hours sitting under the parasol playing with stones, and loved the fact that the water was so clear she could see fish! We loved it and would definitely go back.

Failte is a spacious 3 bedroomed apartment, with all the comforts of home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a 6yr old and a 14month old. The apartment was particulary great because the 14mnth old could roam freely and be safe. Having a seperate sittingroom also meant as parents we could individually get some peace and quiet. The location was ideal a two minute walk to the beach and the main restaurant strip in Orebic. Frank & Sheila have well stocked shelves of books and dvds which was great. They also very kindly had a welcome pack laid out for us. All in all a very hassle and stress free holiday in beautiful surroundings

We spent 2 weeks in the holiday accommodation called 'Failte', in Orebic, Croatia. It was extremely well equipped and comfortable- a veritable 'home from home'. A walk of no more than 5 minutes brings you to the seafront and a splendid promenade for strolling or more energetic walking, providing a seascape panorama and good views of the island of Korculla.

We spent a nice week in July in this lovely apartment close to the beach. The kids loved the books/fishing nets and Dvds. We enjoyed the trips to Korcula, the walks along the promenade and especially the beach in Mokalo (5 km away) which is wonderful. The beaches in Orebic were a bit crowded and not so relaxing especially as we had just come from quiet Mljet. A car is almost required and we missed having ours along. Go have some seafood in Maliston its wonderful. The Babylon restaurant next to the old church in Orebic was also excellent. Frank is a very efficient host and all the admin work went perfectly.

From the welcome pack, including wine, to the available books, Dvds, information leaflets and amazing attention to detail we enjoyed every part of your 11 days at Failte in orebic. Can't promote it enough for famalies with teenagers or younger children. Superb.

The service we recieved from the owners and their agents was excellect.
The "Failte" property in Orebic is like a home from home with idyllic weather and a stones throw from the waters edge.
The location was perfect despite not having a sea view, it is only 1 minute walk to the promenade with miles of beautiful sea front walks.
Public transport, shops, restarants & winery ect also very convienent, yet this property is in a very peacful and quiet area.
It was a treat to be able to pick our own oranges and grapes from our own garden every morning too.
The highlight was the best view I have ever see in my life across the adriatic sea from a nearby Franciscan monastery.
We look forward to our next visit to "Failte" -

Having decided to go to Croatia for our Family Holiday we discovered a little place called Orebic. After some searching we located Failte....
As my wife described it a Gem and a Home away from Home... this is not your basic Holiday apartment it is very well kitted out with lots of extras in the Kitchen especially.
The area was very safe for our 3 children. The only problem I had was getting them out of the water which is only 100m from the apartment.
The Restaurants were very good with fantastic fish (while sitting in Darco's Restaurant the waiter was spotted on the nearby pier with a harpoon in hand, he caught a large squid who sprayed him with ink before he was brought to the kitchen for preparation)
We found the owner to be very accommodating and he gave us loads of local advise.
All our kids talk about is wanting to go back to Croatia so this year we are going back again.

Thanks for a great stay in your appartment, it was lovely and clean and had all the facilities we wanted (bar football for my obsessive husband and son!), but we managed to find the biggest pub screen you have ever seen! The appartment was close to the village centre and most nights we wandered out for dinner. We ate so well on fantastic open grills, the best steaks ever! We didn't venture far from Orebic, loved the icecream with so many different and delicious flavours. Wine was an aquired taste! We hired a boat for the day and visited Korcula which was great fun, children dived for sea anemone shells. Banana boats and donuts from the local beach were another kiddie highlight. The beach was a bit disappointing, not the cleanest, but the water was sparkling clear and snorkling very good. Orebic was fascinating and beautiful, we added a night in Dubrovnik before going home, which is essential, such a beautiful city. Overall we had a great and different holiday. This part of Croatia is not very British so a breath of fresh air.

The home was very good. Spacious and extremely well-equipped. The best kitchen I have encountered in a holiday home. The large balconies were excellent. The situation was good: quiet and only a three minute walk to the seafront.
The only issue with the house was that while the chairs (both inside and ouside) looked very stylish and modern, they were actually very uncomfortable.
With regard to the holiday in general: the whole area is very beautiful. Walking along the seafront to the harbour is lovely. The trip to Corcula was great. But the nearby sandy beach was, while beautiful, very, very crowded (and being near a sandy beach was the main reason we chose Orebic). Other beaches to which we drove were beautiful and peaceful - but all stony. Also, the food in Croatia was very disappointing. The restaurant at the bottom of the road was very good but, apart from that, there was too little variety.
