EastbourneNice apartment!
Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Firstly I will say we had a great time in Orlando staying at the apartment which was very well appointed. Having stayed at several different apartments at Vista Cay/Cay Commons etc. over the last 4 years I have to assess this one against the others.
The apartment was nicely furnished and with all the equipment one would expect for a 'home away from home' holiday. it was basically clean albeit for some heavy, historic staining to the carpet in places. The blind to the balcony door kept sticking and the fly screen door lock was inoperable.
Having looked at the photographs on the web site and booked on this basis, my main criticism was that I expected a lake view and whilst there was a lake view, this was to the left side and not directly ahead. Straight ahead was unfortunately a view of the next apartment block and their balconies which rendered sitting out on the balcony impossible if privacy is a concern! Yes the pool area is not far away but some like to sit and relax on the balcony. I think it a little disingenuous to show the lake view picture purporting to be the main view when this is not, it is merely a view; the main view ahead is of the neighbouring apartment block and their balconies! To enjoy privacy, it was necessary to keep the balcony blind closed.
If there are other occupants on floors above and in the apartments to the side and they are inconsiderate, it can be quite noisy as the sound of footsteps and music does unfortunately carry considerably.
Having said this, we did enjoy our stay at the apartment and would consider staying again but would have preferred a nicer primary view with a little more privacy.
My criticism/comments are minor and only made to be completely honest about our stay and the property.
Great location but you definitely need a car! Very close to a Publix supermarket but you have to drive to it!
Overall, happy with our stay and would recommend to others looking for a decent 'self catering' style apartment holiday. -

This was our 4th stay in Vista Cay however our 1st in this condo. It was ideal. The condo is nicely decorated and had all the appliances that we required. The large tv's in all rooms are great. We will definitely stay here again.

186478Better than a hotel
Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This was a short stay, 5days, booked at relatively short notice, but it's a winner. Clean, well furnished, everything you need for self catering included and conveniently located for either Disney or Universal Studios. Situated in a fairly large, very new, complex at the southern end of Universal Boulevard (Which runs parallel to International Drive), there are swimming pools and local shopping for the food basics as well as take always and restraunts just around the corner a short drive away. As with anywhere in Orlando, you really do need your own transport, but that's up to you, I can't go into the best car rental company as there are so many to suit individual needs.
Back to the Condo... Ours was situated on the edge of the site with good views, easy access and a short walk to the pool. The interior of the condos vary, some are larger and sleep more, but ours was fine for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys sharing a room with 2 single beds.
There were Tv's and DVD players in both bedrooms as we'll as the living room. Microwave, large stove, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, also toaster, coffee maker and iron, all in the apartment. What more could you need, except maybe your own personal
chef.
All of this and fantastic weather made our stay far too short, but it was long enough to visit Universal and the utterly fantastic world of Harry Pottery, with the Forbidden Journey being the Bestest ride of all time and we have done all of the Disney parks.
If anyone wants more information on a good condo with reasonable rates and info on the rides at Universal, I will willingly oblige.
Photo's to follow when we get home. -

amazing location, view, and excellent spot in which our condo we rented was located on. it had an awsome view, and it was perfect for travel in distance to get to all the theme parks, shops, dining, and other attractions in orlando. my family had a great time the week we visited, and we look forward to coming back and renting through Vista Cay Resorts again.

Floyds Knobs, IndianaGreat, condo was very nice and comfortable.
Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Condo was very pretty, spacious and had everything we needed. The one that they could change is that the bedrooms need curtains on the windows. The rooms very so bright and it was very hard to sleep in. We only had 1 day that we could sleep in and the rooms were too bright.

Chicago, ILNice place, No internet!
Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The place is very nice. However, there is no internet. I reviewed no less than 15 units prior to this one and they all had internet. So I just assumed internet was standard. Apparently not. It is very misleading. Internet should be a requirement to every unit in this complex. Unfortunately, our week turned out to be very unproductive due to the lack of internet. My employees were unable to complete many tasks that require access to the web. I asked the Vista Cay management for a solution and they did not offer one. I would expect more.
Also, no trash bags, no washing detergent, no toilet paper. I stay in about 4 condo rentals per year. These items are generally within the unit. -

Toronto, ONFabulous!
Left on 08/26/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The condo was very comfortable and well kept. We had everything we needed.
I was slightly disappointed that the pool, games room and gym was located at a different area and that we had to drive to it. It was not a long drive - just a slight inconvenience.
The pool and all other emenities were very well kept.
I would derfintiely recommend this as a vacation spot. -

LouisvilleVery nice place to stay.
Left on 06/27/2010 for a stay in June 2010
One thing I did not like was the mattress was very hard. Not comfortable at all. Others staying there commented on this as well. Also, not enough hooks to hang clothes, etc. in bathrooms. Thought entrance gates were hard to reach from the car.

Cumbria, UKApartment Review
Left on 02/11/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Good sized condo with excellent facilities and appliances, especially the large flat screen TV's in each room.
I would strongly recommend Visa Cay as an excellent place to stay as it feels very much home from home as a luxury holiday apartment. Why stay in a hotel ever again when you have Visa Cay.
It is secure within a gated compound with a supermarket, pizza and chinese takeways just outside the complex -

carribbean"Great stay"
Left on 01/22/2010 for a stay in January 2010
The service at this hotel was very impressive and professional.I truely enjoyed the home, it was definetly everything like the pictures posted. In addition it was extremely clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen, lots of towels and great furnishing.
This home is located in a new gated community. There is a publix rigt in front of the entrance, this was the only store open in which seemed to be a brand new plaza .There is a gym, theatre, pool, game room and lots more at the club house which is at vista cay(different side, right next to the isles)available for guest to use.
The whole area been new was a big plus, far enough from the more crowed areas of orlando but close enough for where you want to be. Loved the bed, the bed spread could have been of better quality(master bedroom).Plenty of closet and storage space, big flat screen tv's, washer/dryer and lots of parking.
I would definetly recommend this place to others.
