Thank you for taking time out to post some comments following your recent stay with us.
I'm sorry that you feel as though the administration process wasn't what you were expecting for this visit. I will undertake to look into our current process to see where we can make improvement. However, can I first respond to the statement that the MC adds fees. I have looked into the payment history of this reservation and the information I found is as follows; You contacted us by telephone to book this property in May 2012 a $250 deposit payment would have been due at that time, your final balance would have been due in January 2013 and this was charged to your card on January 15th. At this time a Registration document was sent to you which required completion - you chose to purchase the 'Vacation Rental Damage Protection' for $45 instead of authorizing us to place a $400 hold on your card to protect against any accidental damage during your stay. To my knowledge, this could be the only area you feel that you were unaware of the 'damage Protection' options! We adopt the same process as we did in 2011 and you paid the $45 for that visit as well, so I'm still a little uncertain why you consider the MC adds fees! A 'Welcome Pack' was included as part of the reservation and documentation confirming this was sent to you in May of 2012. Apart from the relevant taxes no other fees have been added to the reservation. You may recall that we actually gave you a 10% discount as a returning guest.
Payments are taken when they are due and not before. I guess depending on reservation dates, payments could be taken in three different months e.g. booking made in October for February a $250 payment would be due, in January we would take the final balance and only after we receive the Registration Form which could be February would any final payments show on the actual Reservation Arrival information. Your final payment was made Jan 15th - a Registration Form was sent to you the same day at 3:02pm, which you faxed back at 3.41pm and the final arrival instructions were sent to you on Jan 17th at 09.48.
I still haven't established whether there was a problem with your arrival and departure information, but my understanding is that you arrived on your expected day and departed as scheduled.
I look forward to having you stay in one of our properties again in the future and I will contact you directly to discuss any unresolved issues you may still have.
Once again, thank you for raising the issues with me.

Vista Cay Management's service was professional & prompt. Condo was clean, nicely furnished & spacious. Kitchen was well equipped & appliances were good. Location is really great...close to everything you love in Orlando. We could see fireworks from theme parks when outdoors! Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The only negative was that we ran out of hot water in the shower numerous times. The water heater recovered in 15-30 minutes so not a huge deal. And the TV in master is a flat tube TV, although it worked just fine.
So nice we are thinking about becoming owners!

What a gorgeous place! It really is as pretty as it looks online. Vista Cay was so close to everything we wanted to do in Orlando! 5 minutes or less and you are at Sea World, Universal or the many eateries and other attractions on I-drive. The condo itself was very nicely decorated and so spacious that our family of 4 never felt cramped inside. We were in a lakeside condo and it was a short walk to the clubhouse and pool.
When I rented I was told that I would get club passes for everyone, but when I showed my paper to the clerk at the desk I only got 2 passes and was told that's all I was authorized. So double check that before you go. Also bring your pillows if you can. The ones in our rental were small and super soft. The only other semi-negative thing I could say is that there were no ceiling fans in the unit so in the middle of the night the air doesn't move and gets a little stuffy. If you plan on doing some cooking while there think very basic or heat and eat as the kitchen tools are somewhat lacking.
Overall it is a very nice place to stay and so easy to get to and from everywhere while staying there! I just wish I could figure out how to share the pictures my husband took :-/

We enjoyed our stay and would consider visiting again.
A couple of concerns we do have is 1)the ability to reach someone from the office, we left several messages and never heard back from anyone, this happened during our stay.
2) we had a notice left at our door indicating maintenance would be performed on the a/C system. This seemed somewhat odd cause most resorts will schedule these duties while the room is vacant, unless of course the renter is requesting such services.

I love this place... very spacious condo, clean and quiet. Equipped with everything you need.
The only thing in our condo was, that Wifi was not really working (and the messages about Wifi connection was wrong and confusing), but our stay was great anyway and we definitely will come back :-)

This condo was a delight to stay in. The luxurious furnishings and all amenities were very modern. The a/C was difficult to control and kept reverting back to a higher temp than we set it at but as we were there in December, we were able to open the windows and cool the unit down. the location was close to all theme parks with a Publix just down the road. We would definitely consider staying here the next time we are in the Orlando area

The quiet view of a pond, trees and lawns from the ground level balcony, peaceful extensive paved walking paths, grocery and drug store along the sidewalks, clean roomy pool, all made for a delightful, peaceful stay. The apartment is huge. The kitchen had a superb frig. There were plenty of towels and linens available, but no consumables. Get there early enough to go to the grocery store to buy soap, paper towels, tissues etc. Watch out for extra charges. It ended up costing more than the listed price.

This was a good location for us, close to anything you would want to visit. The resort area doesn't really have anything much to offer other than a nice place to stay while you enjoy attractions, etc., but that was all we needed anyway. There are plenty of resturants, shopping, etc close by.

I am a frequent visitor to Orlando Florida. Every year my family and I plan ahead of time and we always stay at the West gates. This year wanted to find a new location which is more convenient, relaxing and away from traffic. After looking through the internet we found Vista Cay Unit 3020, we didn’t believe the view from the internet and the price was reasonable, the space is more than convenient and location wise it is the best. I would recommend that unit to my friends and I would consider renting the same location for our future vacations in Orlando Florida.

The Condo was very attractive, large and well stocked with everything we needed. We had trouble with the washing machine and it was promptly taken care of. The sofa sleeper was very uncomfortable, but everything is was good.

We had a great time in our stay at Vista Cay as we were only two couples coming down this year without kids...The condo was beautiful and had wonderful views of the lake but do not expect a resort type atmosphere. If you have young kids or are looking to have drinks and food served to you by the pool, this is not the place. I would recommend one of the many other resorts that cater to that type of vacation. This place had a great size pool (not enough chairs and lounges) and was very relaxing which is what we were looking for on this trip.
Please don't take my comments as a negative about Vista Cay--it was exactly what we were looking for as a couples get away. But if you have young kids, this place may not have the entertainment value (activities) that the kids would like.
We will stay here again!!!

We chose a condo at Vista Cay as my husband was attending a conference at the conference center and I wanted easy access to local parks to take my son - Sea World and Universal Studios are a 10 dollor taxi ride.
We did get lost but a quick call to Mick who guided us in and met us at the condo was all it took to get us back on track.
Our initial reaction was wow! We have previously stayed in 5 star villas just outside Orlando and have enjoyed the "away from the madness" feeling. As we were only here for 10 nights (4 of which my husband would be working) we wanted to get around a lot quicker.
The apartment was lovely although we were rather disapointed with the standard of bed linen. It was a bit like a thin muslin. I appreciate that laundry needs to be washed and put back on as quickly as possible on changeover days but a polycotton would have felt nicer and doesn't need as much care as 100% cotton. A small thing but worth mentioning - I have passed our comments onto Mick who manages this condo.
The phone didn't work which wasn't the end of the world and not sure if wi-fi would have worked. Not a problem for us but could be if you are planning to stay there for business. I'm sure Mick will have this fixed by the time the next occupants arrive.
The clubhouse staff seemed very helpful and assisted me with booking in my return flight and printing my boarding passes.
It was great to have the supermarket and pizza take out on our doorstep. The kitchen is adequately equipped for holiday needs.
We had a lovely stay.

Thank you for taking the time to pass the feedback to us through Flipkey.
I am extremely disappointed that you found the linens to be less than perfect. As you will have seen from other reviews we are often complimented on our standards of cleanliness so I have immediately addressed the issue as a result of your feedback.
I am pleased that you would still return to stay with us and should you intend to book at some point in the future please give me a call before you book.
OK, but not sure I'd return

The unit is in a new development that is still under construction. Typical Pulte construction -- looks nice, but lacking substance. Cheap doors, thin walls, etc.
When we arrived, noticed a number of issues that I commented on to management via email on Sunday night. By 9 am Monday, the manager was on our doorstep. Simple things, like clocks not having batteries (solution, put the clocks away), lightbulbs missing; and more complex like no supplies for the kitchen and bathrooms and the wireless internet not working.
What is not disclosed in advertising is that these units are self-supplying. Management / the owner provides nothing. No dish soap, no hotel size bath bars, no paper towels.
Management said the issue with the internet had to be dealt with by the owner. We never ended up with working internet, because there isn't a DSL signal in the unit, whether plugged in directly to the router, or through the modem. Disappointed in the false advertising by Vista Cay Management and the owner of this unit. I never would have gone to this resort knowing there was no internet access, as I run a business. There were no apologies or offer of compensation for the lack of internet service.
The pool area is nice, and the clubhouse has a decent workout facility and game room. Don't expect planned activities like with many other Orlando resorts. When construction is complete, the noise level will be reduced, and dodging construction equipment will be eliminated. The resort is conveniently located within a short drive of major attractions. Dear Mr Murphy, thankyou for taking the time to provide us with your feedback following your recent stay at Vista Cay.
As you quite rightly point out, a representative from the Management Company attended your home at 9am first thing monday morning having received an email from you Sunday evening. As a rule we don't receive complaints, certainly not like your email outlined! The clock battery had expired, thankyou for bringing this to our attention (this could have happened anytime). As the battery wasn't the normal AA or AAA it was placed in a drawer temporarily until the abnormal size battery could be purchased. One lamp wasn't working in the study, again the bulb could go at any time and was replaced during the visit from the stock of bulbs which were kept in the utility room in case of need. An explanation was provided stating that all properties offered for short-term rental are provided on a self-catering basis. The Company provides complimentary trash bags, starter soap and toilet tissue. Once these are used, it is the guest?s responsibility to supply additional items for the duration of their stay. This is disclosed in our Terms & Conditions of rental which can be found on our website.
The Management Company representative actually stated that he was not IT literate and would need to contact the Owner of the property to establish what the operating procedure was for the internet access. As you had been trying to gain access to the internet and had disclosed that you had some knowledge of computers and internet specifically, to try and expedite the matter, you were asked whether you knew what the problem was so that the company representative could communicate this to the homeowner. You stated that in your opinion the problem was with the line and therefore the phone company needed to be called. You were also informed that if internet access was required urgently, it is available in the business center at the Clubhouse.
Any issue that is raised always receives immediate attention. The phone company and the owner have been notified of the internet issue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It is only with knowledge of issues that we are able to address them.
I strongly refute the statement about false advertising. The home has been under our management for 18 months, the owner has provided internet access, but unfortunately it didn't appear to work for you during your stay!
The company representative did make an apology for you having to experience these issues.
I am also aware that you reported the a/c was not working, but upon inspection once you adjusted the up and down buttons to control the temperature everything was fine. The company representative also returned later that day to check everything was okay and you stated that all was now functioning as it should. The representative therefore thought that all maintenance jobs had been covered and taking into account that you never had to call us for the remainder of your stay (6 days) we thought everything was okay!
Your comments about the builder are out of my control, but I will ensure I pass them on to a Pulte representative
I am sorry that you did not have a positive experience during your stay, but thank you again for taking time to provide this feedback.

Vacation home was nice. But for the price we paid I thing the amenties available in Vista Cay were pretty poor. The swimming pool states that only 52 people allowed in pool - the day we were there it was well over this number. For all the apartments and the price there should be more pools. Not enough sunbed either. The gym is tiny. For the price I paid and comparing it to Hilton Vacation Club I would not go back again.

This was a tricky vacation: two adult sisters with husbands and children visiting their father in Florida. My family's mission was to relax and my sister's family wanted to spend each day at Disney World. The 3 bedroom condo we stayed in was amazing! Our families were able to move about freely without disturbing the other when we were doing different things. It was spacious and we all felt like we had our privacy. We also shared many meals together and had quality time together as a big group, spending a couple of days together in the condo. You should check into the club house rules when you first arrive since the theatre area books up quickly and if you don't know, you may not get in there when you want to. We made many calls to the condo's management (from requesting a high chair to a stroller, etc.). They were always warm and friendly and quickly took care of our needs. We were never able to figure out how to access the wireless internet, but had cables to plug into the wall, so that worked out alright. All of us had the vacation we were looking for - I could not have asked for a more positive experience. I highly recommend using Vista Cay Management and staying in Vista Cay. Their 3 bedroom condo was amazing!!!
