The cottage was comfortable and had all we needed for a self catering break. The only big deficiency was the heating which was inadequate for the very cold weather we had. It was very cold in the mornings and when we came in in the afternoon,we kept our coats on. Perhaps we should have asked for more but who likes having to do that. The views were good and at night we could see millions of stars as we were away from street lighting. The local pub is good for beers and wines, and the food excellent, maybe a little salty. There are many interesting local towns and we enjoyed the black country museum very much. Due to ill health and very cold weather we were unable to venture onto the many local walks, as intended. There are plenty of interesting castles etc in the area which we enjoyed. I would highly reccomend the area, and the cottage in warmer weather.
Great location for us, lovely property, everything we needed

We were two single people, wanting single accommodation and were well pleased with the layout of the cottage. The bedrooms/bathrooms were separated by the living area, so there was no disturbance. The garden was beautiful and the views delightful, when we were able to sit outside.
We were lucky enough to be there in early September and able to visit the Ludlow Food Festival and the Hertfordshire artists Trail. Plenty else to look at apart from these. A lovely area and not too busy. Orleton itself was a friendly place and the Boot Inn offered good food and a quiz night. The WI made us very welcome at one of their meetings.
