AberdeenSpoilt by beautiful views & home comforts in the heart of Orkney
Left on 10/13/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Westrow Lodge was the most amazing stay and set in the most ideal location to go exploring. I received a very warm welcome from Kathy and had the most wonderfully relaxing time. The room was very spacious and overlooked scapa flow.
The accommodation itself is a Norwegian style timber chalet and feels very light and spacious in all of the rooms. It's a very unique place to stay.
I could not recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough, I am hoping to make it over to Orkney again one day soon and look forward to making another reservation. On another note, a superb cooked breakfast & great hosts all around. Book now! : )

We were indeed fortunate to discover the Westrow Lodge, a small but luxurious B&B; in Ophir on the Orkney Islands. The house is quite new, in spotless
condition and is located on a peaceful site overlooking the Scapa Flow. The bedrooms and baths were the largest and most comfortable which we encountered during our month-long visit to the U.K. The furnishings were both tasteful and beautiful; the bed
was king-sized and the room included all the items one might need during their stay -- including wi-fi.
The hostess Kathy was pleasant and helpful, and her husband Keith was a most and considerate host. We rate the Westrow Lodge 6 stars on a 5 star scale. -

Warm welcome. The rooms are quite spacious and modern with every comfort. A very comfortable sitting room to relax in during down time. Breakfast cooked to order was quite good.

Maidenheadamazing comfort in remote location
Left on 09/24/2011 for a stay in April 2011
we were travelling "by foot" and hiked to the B&B;, which unfortunately is all along the road. We only realized when we arrived that there was literally no shop or pub anywhere near, which made it very remote for us.
However, for a remote place it's lovely - great views, absolute silence, huuuge rooms, hhhuge bathrooms and huuuge beds, and an amazing breakfast. we stayed for a few nights and Kathy helped us sort out buses, bikes, and find the nicest walks, so we ended up doing loads.
Kathy is a very discreet and yet friendly and helpful host - very plesant.
If you visit Orkney by bike or car, are on the way to/from Hove, and are after some good sleep after a long day out, we recommend this place. -

Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011
After a 4 night stay with Kathy in September '10, by November, we had already booked 6 nights again for this year... How soon shall we give in & book for '12???
Perfect setting, wonderful warm welcome, spacious rooms - with lots of views everywhere. Beds do have sheet and duvet, so can leave aside duvet to try & not be too hot overnight (If open windows, those famous ubiquitous Scottish midges do occasionally invade!) Bathroom has lots of storage space, a stool is available to put in there for towles beside bath, and good level surface to do contact lenses.
Kathy & Keith are very interesting people, always willing to help with local information.
