At our small family running farm accomodation near Orvieto we offer to our guests a peaceful, quiet place where it is still possibile to experience a now forgotten atmosphere, so distant from the rhythms of common modern life... If you are looking to get away from it all – no noise, no crowds, no worries – then this is the place to be! Frallarenza offer countless opportunities for walking in the beautiful woodlands and vineyards of the Orvieto region, with kilometres of trails on which you can also ride a mountain bike. Our farmhouse is surrounded by an expansive garden, that allows our guests to enjoy peaceful hours, and children to play... freely in a safe place. There is a area equipped with a barbecue and picnic table and a large grass lawn to play football. A ping pong table is in the garden, near the swimming pool and another one is covered, in a small "gym", so it is possible to play when it’s bad weather. The swimming pool is surrounded by shady trees and is located in a quiet and secluded flower garden. Moreover, in the farmhouse there is a large room equipped with a gas stove and a fire-wood oven, where we organize cooking classes: you can learn with us to make "fettuccine", "gnocchi", pizza and many other Italian traditional recipes, and have a nice dinner with us. Additional Location Information

Deep in the heart of green Umbria, in the typical highlands of the Orvieto region: little fields of olive trees and vineyard revived from the oak tree woods which still dominate the countryside and surround our house. Nevertheless, Frallarenza is only 5 km from Ficulle, a medieval little village known for its traditional terracotta pottery, and 15 km. from Orvieto and A1 highway gate. We are located very close to the provincial borders of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio, close to the A-1 freeway (between Orvieto and Fabro-Ficulle exits, both 20 minutes far from us) and only 4 km far from a small village called Allerona Scalo where you will find supermarket, pharmacy, post office and ATM Frallarenza is an ideal starting point from which one can visit many famous art-towns like Orvieto, Siena, Firenze and Rome, and many unique but unknown and time-forgotten villages. When you are here, we are always available to provide you with additional information and current conditions of the many sites in the area.

  We loved agriturismo Frallarenza, near Orvieto. We were 3 women staying in the "small apartment", which was a perfect size. The owners, Francesco and Serena, have the gift of ensuring your needs are met (and exceeded) but allow you to explore and enjoy on your own, while they tend to the hard work of running a farm. Their kindness, enthusiasm and passion for what they do is apparent.The apartment was enhanced with family furniture and hand made ceramics and weavings by Serena. Enjoying the bounty of the land, such as their newly pressed olive oil, fresh fruit eggs, as well as Serena's treats were a highlight. The house is solar powered, and there was always hot water and heat when needed. (We were there in a warm late October, but the nights and mornings were cool.) Francesco spent unhurried time with us, giving us ideas and maps for our day trips. We stayed for 4 nights, but wished we had more time to slow down and savor Frallarenza. The setting among the groves and the Umbrian hills was magical. Highly recommended!
