This is an extremely cozy and charming Michigan vacation cottage with whitewashed cedar paneling, cedar shake, not one but TWO new gas fireplaces, a cozy riverfront sun porch with a whirlpool spa, covered deck, and more than 200 feet of frontage on the mighty AuSable River.

Guests have been arriving from all over the country to enjoy the ambiance of this one of a kind vacation home. This beautiful... home is also a perfect place for honeymoon, anniversary, and romantic getaways. The inviting interior has been recently refreshed and sleeps eight with ease. With two roomy bedrooms, the master bedroom offers a new queen sized bed, and the second charming bedroom contains two single beds. Towels and plenty of linens and blankets are all provided for your comfort. Two queen sized sleeper sofas are located in the living room.

This home's spacious rooms offer plenty of room for your enjoyment. Besides a full sized bathroom, there is an additional half bath. With air conditioning, heat, and the warmth of the fireplaces, this home is available for memorable year round vacation rentals. The huge living room with its stunning river views offers several relaxing sitting areas, with a gas fireplace at each end. Step down into the sun porch overlooking the river, and into the bubbly whirlpool tub!

One dining table seats six, four stools are available at the breakfast bar, and a low round table seats four with cushioned rattan rocking chairs. The fully equipped kitchen includes a range, newer refrigerator, newer dishwasher, and a microwave oven. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, utensils, small appliances, pots and pans for baking.

For play time inside, enjoy the 27" color cable television in the living room, along with a combination DVD & VCR player, and portable stereo. The views of the river from the large windows and sliding glass door are so soothing. The master bedroom contains another new 13" color cable television with DVD player, and the second bedroom also contains a 13" color cable television. Kids can bring their game systems and easily hook in to the front A/V ports. In the living room, you will find an assortment of toys and games for the kids too.

The two car garage will securely store all of your toys. For grilling, use the gas grill out in the back yard with its scenic river views. There is also an octagonal picnic table. A small fire pit is perfect for toasting marshmallows and making s'mores. The two car garage will securely store all of your toys. The separate garage also contains a bikes for your use.

Some of the best fishing in the state is to be had right here in your own back yard, including bass and salmon. The large yard is ideal for lots of fun and games. Swim in the AuSable during your summer Oscoda vacation getaway, or enjoy the Lake Huron beach that is less than a mile away.Read more

  It was very affordable, about $135 a night. They do require a two night stay minimum, but for us, that is what we had planned anyway. It is very homey feeling, decorated kind of like your eccentric grand mother's house. Check in is easy. It is semi-private and you have a lot of back yard space to yourself. They have two large two-person swings, a fire pit, a big patio and plenty of room in doors. Their hot tub is a great amenity as well as the two fireplaces and use of their washer and dryer. Did I mention they have WiFi there? It is a wonderful place to enjoy northeast Michigan or just relax and have a staycation. Only gripe is the shower. It feels like 5 hamsters with Utis peeing on you. Very low water pressure.

  Just wanted to let you know that we have replaced the shower head and water pressure is much improved.(it was blocked by a bad washer) Shouldn't have any problems should you return.

  We had a lovely stay at this charming house on the au Sable river. Loved the yard and river view. House was wonderful with hot tub in sun room. Can't wait to go back with the whole family!
