Such a truly therapeutic and relaxing place to be ;) the ambience of Casta Vita is beautiful so tranquil and relaxing a real tonic ;) can't wait to go again. The location was fab just a 10 min drive from Ostuni although the villa was so nice with the pool etc that we didn't venture out during the day. It was great to have the restaurant recommendations for the evening ;)

Hi Helen
Many thanks for your review and apologies for taking so long to thank you.
Should you decide to come again, we're adding another gazebo to the right of the pool - ideal for watching the sun go down.
A new outdoor shower (we had to remove the solar operated one we had previously as it was causing problems).
A water softener (not of great interest to guests, but definitely a plus for preventing things like the previous shower not working as the water is so hard down here).
As always, we give a discount to returning guests.
Have a good Christmas!

Perth, UKFantastic villa in beautiful surroundings.
Left on 07/15/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had taken some care in choosing our villa for our summer holiday, and after evaluating a number of options, Casa Vita stood out. Having been impressed by the information and pictures online, we were not disappointed by the reality.
The local architecture is fairly unique, but the very thick walls make sense given the high temperatures experienced, the villa is very well appointed and fitted out, and the owner evidently takes great care of their property. The outdoor area in particular and pool, where spent most of our time, is very nice indeed.
Very secluded and private, but within easy reach of local amenities and excellent restaurants (car essential) we would heartily recommend this villa. -

Lovely Villa (or restored Trulli to be more accurate) Stayed with elderly parents, my sister with her family (2 little girls), my family (6 onth old). Accommodation perfect for that many people. Lovely spot - near Ostuni but also the lovely smaller town of Ceglia where there were great places to eat. The pool was great and the place felt like a home because it had been the English owners' home and was full of interesting things, media and the like.
Thoroughly recommended and the owners were excellent people to deal with. -

Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in September 2011
What a fabulous holiday we all had. From the moment we made contact we were made to feel special. Communication and information was forthcoming and friendly. The house was unusual, and fabulous in design which made it very exciting to stay in. The location was rural and completley relaxing away from the maddening crowd, so to speak. The supermarkets were well stocked with beautiful cheeses and breads inexpensive wine and great bbq meats and salads. The Saturday market in the city is a must to visit. We loved the spacious accomadation and being able to eat in or al fresco taking advantage of the bbq/pizza cooking area with additional fun size swimming pool and double bed hammock!!!
What we liked least was comming home - we will return...

We would definitely go back there. -

Northwood, middlesexFabulous week in Puglia
Left on 07/16/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We stayed in Casa Vita for a week in June. We travelled with our friends and their two children. Both families have toddlers and babies. We found Casa Vita to work superbly for the eight of us and our two 3 yr olds spent every day in the wonderful pool. The balance of depths meant the little ones could splash about easily whilst the deeper end provided fun for the adults. The spacious bedrooms and choice of bathrooms meant that no-one felt like they were getting a 'rough deal' and there were no fights as to who got the best room as they were all equally great. The vast kitchen was fantastic and the comfortable living room was great for curling up in for all of us. Most evenings, once the kids were all in bed, we would sit on the beautifully lit terrace eating and drinking enjoying the view of the lit pool and verander...and oh how we loved the hanging double bed. All in all a fabulous villa that was spacious for two families, had everything we could or did need with the most fantastic pool and terrace. We shall definitely return. The approaching drive way though is very narrow so be warned!

Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The trulli proved to be as amazing as it looked in the photographs. Very spacious with every small detail carefully thought about - a unique place to stay. Very close to Ostuni with some very trendy bars and great restaurants but also catered very well for the 'dine in' evenings with a bbq and pizza oven. Was very sad to leave !

LondonSimly stunning
Left on 06/08/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Casa Vita is simply stunning. Ros and her team are extremely hospitable and get the holiday off to a perfect start. As soon as you arrive you feel at home.
The spacious rooms are well layed out and fitted to a top spec where all the little details have been carefully planned and executed. The kitchen is straight out of dream homes, shame you won't spend a lot of time there as the outdoor area is so much better than any of the lovely pictures would suggest. Unless we were out exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding Casa Vita, most of our holiday was spent in the outside area. When the sun is out (and we fortunately had lots of it) its perfect for breakfast. In the midday heat the pool is the best remedy and the barbecue was in very regular use to feed our troops. In the evening the table tennis table was in constant use while the pizza oven was getting ready for orders. The swingbed, the hammock and the hollywood swing provided perfect opportunities to unwind after a busy day.
While there. you feel a million miles away from the daily grind, but if you have to, free wifi and satellite tv allow you to stay in touch. The soundsystem with separate speakers for indoors and outdoors was definitely the best gadget in the house for us, although our kids quite liked the wii game console as well.
The location is far enough away from the masses, but close enough to Ostuni for all the essential supplies. I definitely recommend the weekend markets in Ostuni, a real joy. The beaches are a bit further away (20 minute drive) and unlike in other parts of Italy not run like a beach club. This makes it cheaper, but also trickier to pick out the real gems. In terms of other sights I definitely recommend Lecce's old town, Alberobello (despite the mass tourism on display) and of course Ostuni itself.
Casa Vita has a great website, but the real thing is a whole lot better. We will definitely be back and I can't recommend it enough for groups of friends or families. Enjoy

LondonStunning villa, stunning part of Italy - go!
Left on 10/24/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Our stay at Casa Vita was absolutely fantastic. The villa is stunning, and equipped for every possible eventuality. The wood-fired pizza oven went down a treat, as did lounging by the pool. It really is as amazing as the photos and represents excellent value. The trullo rooms are really unique, with a lovely ambience.
The hamper of goodies on arrival was just perfect given our late arrival. The contents went far over and above what was required to get us through that first night; it was a really nice touch.
Ostuni is beautiful and is very easily accessible (with a car). We also loved visiting Ceglie Messapica one evening, which feels even less touched by the tourist trail.
We stayed at Casa Vita with a group of friends for my 30th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect.

Its always a bit of a gamble renting somewhere on the advice of others or on photos that may or may not be accurate. I can say that he were all very impressed with the place. Its actually quite a piece of art as you come up the winding drive and see this bizarre, Gaudi-esque building infront of you. Beautiful place inside and out and we had a truly marvellous week. The food in the surrounding towns is sensational and we also whipped up some pizzas in the special outdoor oven.
Awesome week and everything on the house front worked brilliantly.

West MidlandsA 'Trulli' memorable and idillic holiday
Left on 08/13/2010 for a stay in August 2009
Casa Vita, a beautifully restored traditional Trulli, set amongst Olive, Almond and Fig trees in its own gated grounds, really is a wonderful place to enjoy, unwind and totally relax. From the moment we arrived, greeted by the owners Chris & Ros, to the day we left, we couldn't have wished for more.
The facilities, both inside the spacious, comfortable and well equipped Villa itself and outside, with its own pool, suitable for both adults and children alike, are second to none; the addition of an outside kitchen and dining area made for a fantastic al-fresco dining experience.
Casa Vita is ideally situated to explore Puglia , a car being essential for your visit to get the most from the region where the Italians holiday. We totally recommend staying at Casa Vita. -

We would strongly recommend Casa Vita.
Ros was helpful, informative and efficient from the moment of our first enquiry. The website gives an accurate picture of the property which is very well furnished and exceptionally well equipped. The beds are incredibly comfortable and there are screens on the windows and most of the doors. Everything as been thought of as pool towels are included, there is a hairdryer and cuboards full of basic ingredients and household items which make life easy and we just replaced as necessary.
The location just outside Ostuini was perfect; quick and easy to pop to the shops and close enough for Ostuni's summer nightlife but still quiet and peaceful. Ostuni is an immensely appealing town and we found everyone incredibly friendly. Beaches are easily accessible and the historic centres of the nearby towns are wonderful.
The area around the pool is spacious and there are loungers for everyone. We had great fun using the pizza oven and can't actually think of anything we didn't like other than having to take it in turns for the swinging bed!
We had a great time and if we return to the area would choose Casa Vita again. -

LymingtonA Villa with the "Wow" factor
Left on 08/10/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The villa is well poistioned between two sizable towns, it is easy to find although a car is necessary. From first view right through to the finish of the majical first tour around the property there will be an abundance of Oooo's & Ahhh's and then a fight for the bedrooms, all are good. The facilities both inside and outside are first class to either spend the whole time around the pool but we chose to venture out most nights and the night life to our mind was, every night was party night with festivals, music dancing and brilliant resturants where the anti Pasti just kept coming.
The owners Ros & Chris make themselves available if you want but can also be invisable and they and all the local people in the towns make everyone welcome, not a peice of litter anywhere nor a larger lout, we only met one other English speaking family. Pure Italian heave, we recommend this holiday to anyone... -

Quick mention about location of Casa Vita - it is not ideal for a group of younger people who want lots of nightlife. There are many wonderful restaurants and bars in the neighbouring towns, but clubs, although they do exist, are harder to locate.

We were fortunately upgraded by James Villas to this beautifully restored, well equipped villa. Stunning decor and very clean. Everything you required was provided, down to someone coming to cook a truely authentic italian meal, should you wish. Owners couldnt be more helpful and friendly. For a totally relaxing, pampered break, this is the the place. You do, however, need a car.

Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in July 2009
Our first time in Puglia and we shall definitely return. The property really is extremely spacious and so well equipped. Both the outdoor and indoor kitchens were put to good use. The pool with its shallow and deep ends was perfect for adults and small children, with plenty of shaded areas. The swing bed in particular was a big hit. We visited lovely local beaches and small towns, our favourite probably being Ostuni. Highly recommended.

Casa Vita is a beautifully appointed villa close to the town of Ostuni and has every comfort you could possibly want - a real home from home. The villa is exceptionally spacious and full of character especially the bedrooms in the trulli, there is plenty of shade outside to escape the heat of the Italian sun and a wonderful pool to cool down in. A highlight is the outdoor kitchen complete with pizza oven which provided some excellent entertainment and food of course! The rooftop terrace is perfect for sundowners and the table tennis proved popular with our family. It was difficult to tear ourselves away from the villa but there are plenty of interesting places to visit such as Ostuni itself, Lecce, Polignano al Mare and the town of alberobello which looks as if it has stepped out of a Disney movie.
Thoroughly recommended
