With a twin room and a double bedroom, this is an ideal property for a small family, a group of friends or two couples to enjoy a few days of walking and sight seeing. Set in an isolated position on the edge of the Northumberland National Park is this charming, stone built cottage, just three miles from Otterburn and seven miles from Bellingham. This wonderful, single-storey property is peacefully located in the surrounding countryside whilst the open-plan living area and delightful lawned garden with patio are the perfect accommodation for a relaxing break. There are great facilities for fishing, horse riding and golf nearby, as well as Had...rian’s Wall and a variety of beautiful National Trust homes and gardens.

Amenities: Oil heating with electric fire in sitting area. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, (use of owner's freezer on request), washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD player, radio/cassette/CD player. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 2 cars. Large lawned garden with pond, patio and garden furniture. Lockable bike storage. One well-behaved dog welcome at charge of £10 per week. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: There is an unfenced pond at the property so please ensure children are supervised. Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: The delightful village of Otterburn is an incredibly tranquil little place, but this was once the site of the famous 1388 Scottish victory over the English. As the former home of a thriving weaving industry, the town was once known for the world famous Otterburn Mill, an integral part of the settlement’s past. Close to the banks of the River Rede and situated between the hills and moors of the North Tyne Valley there are numerous excellent walking facilities in the area as well as a popular Coast-to-Coast route for cyclists. The beautiful Kielder Forest and Waters are close by as is the Roman construction of Hadrian's Wall, both of which are worth visiting. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  This well equipped cottage provided the ideal location for our peaceful getaway. Lots of attractions both nearby and within reasonable driving distance. Otterburn village is just down the road which has pubs and shops. The owners were very friendly and helpful too.

  The owners of the cottage were extremely friendly and helpful. The cottages was very clean and practical and it proved to be good base to both tour the area and to go on long walks. I would not hesitate to recommend the accommodation. Dislike the midges until we found a suitable spray
