Everything about this place is magical. The mountains provide some of the most breathtaking views in the world, and the animals on the farm make every day an adventure. Going for a hike in the morning was blissful, and believe me when I say I'm not a morning person. The sunrises were worth waking up at the crack of dawn :) The water in the dam is clean and perfect for an afternoon swim.
We relaxed, hiked, went on game drives, ate, swam, and even played some volleyball. The Swartberg Private Game Lodge was the perfect place for our vacation, and we can't wait to go back!

After our wonderful stay at the lodge last year we decided it was the perfect place to have our family reunion. We were able to rent out all the rooms - and a few more !! The spacious rooms were able to accommodate the families who preferred to have their younger children with them. We and had full access to the huge kitchen and BBQ area. The impossible was achieved - all age groups were happily occupied the whole time. The wildlife was plentiful and the baby giraffes adorable. Some hiked up to view the rock paintings, while others enjoyed leisurely walks to see the game. We were very pleased we arranged the rental of the game viewing vehicle.
