Left on 04/02/2013 for a stay in December 2010

This was the first Christmas experience in Colorado for our family. Of course, Ouray is our favorite spot in Colorado. So, we knew where we wanted to stay. However, finding the right accomodations was the issue. That issue was settled very quickly when I contacted Rick and Marissa Stockreef with apex 1. Their very kind and professional approach helped me make my decision as where we would want to stay. Working with Rick and Marissa was a very pleasant experience.
The cabin and accomodations were absolutely fantastic! The view from the cabin was wonderful. We regularly had deer around the cabin. So, there was always something to look at. The location also made it easy to access the skiing over in Telluride and Mountain Village. We enjoyed a 10 day Christmas vacation in the heart of the most beautiful country in Colorado. The experience was so good that we decided to go back again in 2013.

      Lovely Vacation

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012

My family recently stayed at the Elkhorn Ridge log home. The home is beautiful, immaculately clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. I have never seen such beautiful sites as those I saw in Ouray and Ridgeway; it's like heaven on earth. We fished the Uncompahgre in Ridgeway and the San Miguel around Placerville. The shopping in Ouray was wonderful. Recommendations: Maggie's Kitchen, Mouse's Chocolate, Box Canyon Falls (a must see)

      Great Cabin

Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in September 2011

Cabin was even more than advertised. The cabin was super clean and had everything you need. The location was super and close to Ouray and other area attractions. The beds are comfortable and the lay out was good. There is a big front deck on the front with a gas grill. We spent the evenings grilling and sitting outside enjoying the great view. The reservations were easy to make and check in took maybe five miniutes at the office in Ouray. I will most definetly return to Ouray and I will stay here again. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Left on 05/03/2012 for a stay in September 2010

Spent a 3 night weekend with a group of college friends here in Fall 2010. Excellent location for our many hiking, biking, 4X4'ing and eating adventures.
House is immaculate. Clean and roomy with a beautiful deck.

This house was an awesome place to getaway. It was quiet, and peaceful. The view(s) are undescribable. The house was perfect for all that stayed: I loved the loft. We went on hikes every day, different locations. There is Lots to see. Secluded location, not far from a historical town. One of the best vacations I've had.

beutiful cabin in the mountains. Ouray has many unique stores for shopping. Highly recomend the homemade candy store. Many nice resturants close to cabin. Lots of places to hike or bike. Also recomend the hot springs. best part of trip.. the golf course if you are a golfer this is a must do! Twice. One of the best courses I've played, very well maintained and wildlife everywhere. Very unique course you will not want to leave. Thanks, Apex 1

Left on 02/14/2012 for a stay in November 2011

This is our favorite getaway place ever! My family and I have stayed at this super cozy cabin several times and it is the only place we will stay in Ouray. It has everything you need for an amazing vacation. Only a short drive to Telluride and a short walk to the natural hot springs. The cabin itself has tons of room for both family and friends but still feels very cozy. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to all of my friends. We hope to go back very soon.

      Great family or group retreat

Left on 02/14/2012 for a stay in September 2010

We had a great time staying at this home. Plenty of room for a large family or multiple families. Right in the mountains and quiet yet only a couple minutes to town. We biked over to Silverton right from the home, golfed and enjoyed the nearby hot springs. We had dinner in town a couple nights and brought back groceries to make dinner at the home a couple of nights. It had all of the amenities necessary for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this property.

beautiful log home in magical area

Left on 02/14/2012 for a stay in November 2011

We love this log home! It is spotless, warm and inviting and is in such a convenient and gorgeous location. Close to the hot springs in Ouray and set in the midst of the beautiful San Juan Mountains, close to Telluride, Silverton and Red Mountain Pass. We have stayed here several times and can't wait to go back again. Very spacious cabin with a large, sunny deck. Even on cold days, it is pleasant to sit on the deck in the sun, soaking in the beauty of the surrounding blue sky and red cliffs.
