Harcliff is a large (6 bedroom) summer home located at the end of a quiet town road where local lobster fishermen can be seen hauling their traps. The large front and back lawns allow room for family activities.It is not however suitable for very large groups or weddings. A long pier and rowboat give access to the ocean. The tide is quite dramatic (9 ft+) but the cove is suitable for mooring your own boat. The nearest neighbor is over 100 yards away barely visible through the trees. Walking in the opposite direction through the woods and you are on the state beach. The house has two living units, which allows the Atkinson's to vacation there...Read more

Located at the end of Ballyhac Rd., in Owl's Head Maine, this oecanfront home faces southeast towards Penobsacot Bay and the Mussel Ridge Islands. Directly in front of the home is Spaulding Island which forms a sheltered cove, excellent for kayaking. A large front and back lawn is surrounded by woods. A short walk through the woods and you are on Birch Point State Park beach. A short drive and you are In Rockland, Rockport, and Camden.

This is the fifth year our family and friends have enjoyed a blissful week together at the atkinson's Owls Head property. Beautiful views, quiet and tranquil, new renovations to an already stellar facility, and so much to do in the area just a short drive away. The local lobstermen are charming and add more "Maine personality" to the experience. Every year we make the trek from Michigan -- the long drive is worth it!! So glad we discovered this gem =0)

We have been renting HarCliff from the atkinson's for 20 years. It is the most beautiful relaxing place on earth. Located right on the water with nice dock and 12 foot tides you can experience life on the water first hand. I love to sit on the porch and enjoy the view, my husband enjoys kayaking around the nearby islands. Our children love the firepit, tetherball, huge yard and bunk room with it's own balcony. It feels very private. Lovely.

You can't beat the location of Harcliff. It's a beautiful house right on the ocean, and it's convenient to get to Rockland, Camden and many other great Maine cities. Have a campfire with the family, play tetherball, walk the rocks (right to the public beach) or just enjoy the peaceful property and the view. Can't wait to get back this summer!
