We stayed at Villa Oyster Pearl last week and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the property. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 teenage children. I’ll start by mentioning the photos on the web site are very good, but they don’t do justice to the villa. The furnishings in the living room and terrace were all newly purchased and were not featured in the photos online. The tile, marble and other stone work featured throughout the home and property were simply magnificent. The villa was exceptionally clean, safe and comfortable. The property is also impeccably maintained. In a word, David, the owner, under promised and over delivered! We enjoyed dinners in and out, but especially those prepared by Romain, the private chef recommended by David. We also visited the fish market mid-week and purchased snapper, Mahi Mahi and lobsters which we enjoyed preparing on the large, clean outdoor gas grill one evening. Despite the size of our group, we never felt cramped or crowded indoors or out. David was extremely helpful and responsive during the reservation and planning process. Nadine, the property manager was also very helpful and hospitable during our stay. They both provided many useful suggestions for rental cars, shopping, day trips and the villa was stocked with all the provisions we requested upon our arrival. Nadine also spoiled us with fresh pastries and croissants several mornings! We’ve been fortunate to have many warm weather family vacations during the winter over the years and our stay at Villa Oyster Pearl was our favorite so far. We look forward to visiting Villa Oyster Pearl again and again!

We spent a week at Villa Oyster Pearl with our two kids (18 and 21) and good friends with their daughter and a friend (15 and 15). The villa is clean and superbly comfortable with ample room for all. The entire home is decorated with beautiful travertine tile and marble floors...the color schemes, highly detailed tile work, furniture, bathrooms and home decorations are perfectly suited for a beach villa. Much of the furniture was brand new and very comfortable. The beds and bedding were very comfortable! There are also beautifully done outdoor areas including a spectacular tiled veranda overlooking Dawn Beach and the ocean (sitting on the veranda with a cup of joe every morning was a personal highlight), a pool at the edge of the veranda, an outdoor stone-patio lounging area with four loungers at the upper level and an additional outdoor deck lounging area with four loungers at the lower level (with outdoor shower), both overlooking the water. There are plenty of towels for the baths and beach, the kitchen is well outfitted and there are plenty of snorkels, masks, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. for enjoying the beach. This villa has it all! We could not imagine staying in a hotel instead of the villa for the week (though, the Westin Dawn beach is a stone's throw from the villa with a nice beach bar, etc.). The villa is beautifully perched above Dawn Beach (providing the magnificent vistas) with a short walk (2 minutes) down to the beach along a sometimes uneven path...we had no problem negotiating the path but elderly adults may have trouble. The driveway is steep and created a challenge when entering and exiting but we managed it fine throughout the week. Owner David and manger Nadine were the perfect hosts helping us at every turn with every question and request. We also enjoyed several meals with a private chef, Romain, who was recommended to us by David...Romain was great! All in all, a vacation we will never forget!!

St Maartens is a wonderful island for a vacation. This was a family vacation. Mom, dad, kids and 2 friends. The villa was perfect. Very clean and well maintained. Was convenient to many things. Craig, the villa caretaker, was great and wonderful host. We did have hire a private chef for a meal at the villa. Chef Ramon was excellent. The meal was one of the best meals we had on the island. Besides spending time at beaches ( Orient, Baie Rouge, Dawn, Maho) we did the extreme zip line and Rhino Safari snorkeling. We also took the ferry from Marigot to anguille. Shoal Bay East on aguilla is very beautiful. The kids definitely want to come back. Thanks for helping make this such a wonderful and memorable vacation.

My group of 4 ladies just spent a wonderful week in Villa Oyster Pearl. The Villa had everything we needed to include a charming young caretaker who took care of runs to the grocery store, drug store, etc. He even accompanied one of us downtown to purchase a diamond ring! (Highly recommend Shiva's.) We felt very safe at the Villa. There are only two downsides to the Villa: A steep walk down to the beach (excellent beach, by the way), and the view to center/right overlooks the roof of a large hotel. We had not expected to see the roof of the hotel! There is a great view over the roof, but still the roof is there. All-in-all, however, the villa was superb!

We visited St. Martin week of February 22nd what great time, our group of 7 adults were warmly welcomed by Craig the caretaker who is full of advise and general knowledge regarding getting around the island, restaurants etc.You will probably not want to leave once you settle in and relax on the outdoor veranda to view the beautiful sea and enjoy the warm breeze. We didn't have the ac on at all as the villa has lovely breeze constantly so you sleep well in comfortable spacious rooms.Kitchen is well equipt we cooked our meals, barbequed and went out for dinner. The location requires a vehicle as you are not within walking distance to grocery store,or convenience store which is close but you need to be in very good physical condition to walk the steep roads.Generally it is very safe, villa is gated,we had no issues.Beach is beautiful, quiet and clean.Westin sits directly to the right of the villa I only ventured to the casino once.Lovely pool on the veranda. David is the owner and will answer any questions and offer assistance if needed.Overall this was a very nice vacation in a 5 star villa, would definitely return.

Our extended family, 6 adults and 2 infants, experienced a wonderful winter respite 26 Jan-Feb 2 at Villa Oyster Pearl...on-site caretaker Craig was always cheerfully helpful and readily available (by house-supplied cell phone). Floors and bath tile work were lovely...a positive reflection of owner David's business and the villa has tastefully eclectic decor and comfortable furniture. Clean and working outdoor gas grill is conveniently located and well-lit as are house grounds in general. Large motorized outdoor archways and window shutters are a real plus, allowing alteration of wind and sun exposure. A bevy of lovely yellow banana quits were readily available for up-close viewing at the daily sugar-supplied feeder. Nastesha provided excellent quiet-as-a-mouse housecleaning services twice during the week and also arranged requested "Pack & Play" cribs for the infants. Pluses of location include... great ocean views(St.Barts in distance and lovely Dawn Beach below and to the left, Westin blocks view of beach to right), walkable or short drive to nearby beach bar/Pizza/dinner at Daniel's and Big Fish...and visits to adjacent Westin bar and casino. Le Galion beach is not far by car, highly recommended for children/infants and just down the same road from Buttefly farm which is worth a visit. Walking down steps to lower gazebo sitting/sunbathing area and to Dawn Beach requires a relatively sure foot, and is likely not suitable for persons with more than minimal gait or physical limitations.

My family of 8 (6adults and 2 children under 3) loved our week at your place. We used 4 of the 5 bedrooms. We slept late everyday due to the darkening storm blinds which we lowered each night. Separate air conditioning controls in each room also provided a level of comfort not often found in villas. The porch with the million dollar view is unmatched and family room/tv room with full length windows on all 3 sides was also great. Best of all was the waves, the crystal clear water and the constant ocean breeze. The outdoor dinning table which was on the porch added to my family's pleasure. Having Craig as the "houseboy" came in handy: he picked up our family who came in late to the airport, he gave us directions, helped us for numerous things; but in general stayed out of the way except when needed.
Great family vacation!

We stayed here the last week of December and the villa was awesome and very spacios for 7adults , Craig and David were very helpful. We enjoyed Craig's hospitality, he is the villa manager.
The only negative if you are traveling with elderly people who get short of breath the walk up from the beach is difficult for them. They enjoyed the view and the beautiful breeze just the same.
We will definitely go back.

This villa has a terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean and within walking distance to the beach. The home is spacious and has large, quiet bedrooms, perfect for sleeping late. The kitchen is well equiped and the decor is perfect. Fred, the property manager, made sure we had what we needed and was a wealth of information regarding things to do and see on the island.
In short, if you're looking to spend time on St. Martin, our family highly recommends this villa. We liked the location, which was close to many restaurants and the beach. What we loved most of all was eating, drinking, playing games, talking and laughing on the terrace of this villa. We were made to feel as though this was our home away from home

We travelled in may 2012 with or family to david's home. The outstanding views with a pleasant breeze were our first impression. The home was beautiful with panoramic views , comfortable beds, and an amazing kitchen. We had small children with us and were so happy to be a staircase to the beach and enjoyed access to the Weston next door for the amenities of a great hotel. (awesome spa) my kids used the kiddie area next door every day and we just loved relaxing on the homes amazing covered porch. What can I say, we are going back next year. We loved l'eslenade in grand case for those who want one dinner recomendation. The scallops were awesome

Three couples stayed here in February 2012 for our husbands' 50th birthday celebration. We absolutely loved it. The view is lovely and the accomodations outstanding. New beds made sleeping a dream (listening to the surf!) and the house is very well equipped, all the towels and kitchen utensils, etc. to make it feel like home. It was also spotless and obviously extremely well maintained--a lovely home. We particularly appreciated the attention and excellent communication from David, the owner. He helped to make our stay perfect.
This side of the island is quieter, away from the big crowds on the touristy side (which we like), with excellent restaurants very close by around the corner on Oyster Pond.
I would return, absolutely, in a minute. In fact, I wish I were still there!

Everything about Villa Oyster Pearl was amazing. The home is maintained beautifully and has extremely generous and comfortable spaces. The surrounding garden is bountiful with beautiful plantings and flowers. In every way we felt at home and quite secure with caretaker Fred on premises at our beckon call! We couldn't get enough of the endless view that just seemed to get better with every sunrise. In our opinion this home is in the best location on the island as it's very private and benefits from steady ocean breezes. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, even within walking distance, and we recommend a frozen concoction or two at the neighboring Westin hotel beach bar! We've tried snorkeling at many locations around the island, but nothing came close to the reefs teeming with life just a short trip down the steps to Dawn Beach. Villa Oyster Pearl is truly a slice of paradise where some of the best memories we've made here will be cherished for a lifetime!

The pre-visit service was impeccable. David answered emails within minutes and had answers to all of our questions. Don't believe the weather forecast that you see before your trip, the weather people had forecast rain and thunder showers every day of our visit. Sure, we had rain, but the rain lasted 5 minutes and then the sun was out as bright as can be right after. If you enjoy a breeze, this villa is the place to be. You don't really feel the 90 degree heat with the breeze blowing through the villa and lanai. Upon entering the remote controlled security gates you feel like you are in your own private hideaway away from everything. The house and grounds were immaculate. The kitchen was modern and fully equipped. Have Fred stock the larder for you, it really makes sense. There are 2 dogs on the premises but they only bark when you arrive. You never hear them otherwise. Fred is very friendly and a great help with anything you need. He has tips for restaurants and knows the house inside and out. There are plenty of clean towels and the washer and dryer on-site really helps throughout the week. The pool, which appears smaller when you first see it in real life, is actually very roomy once you are in it and surprisingly, quite deep at the one end. There is nothing like waking up to bright sunshine and then jumping in the pool before you have your morning coffee. We plan on visiting next year. We will not forget this trip or the villa. We left with many fond memories. With so many other places to stay on the island ( we drove around the island many times), this one seemed like the way to go. Privacy, luxury and peace of mind!

This home is perfect!!! We have rented homes for years & Villa Oyster Pearl is absolutely the most awesome home we have stayed at! I am the one in charge of finding a rental home and I am always a bit nervous when we get there wondering what we will actually find. You can imagine my excitement when Fred raised all the automatic shutters on the archs of the outdoor living area. I took a deep breath and smiled inside while the family looked out at the view in awe! It was breathtakingly beautiful!...Then...Good job, mom! I got lots of hugs for finding the perfect vacation home! We loved the fact that we had the beautiful view looking down on the ocean and we could still walk to the beach on our own private path that looks like it was taken out of a fairytale. (Usually, if we get the view, we have to drive to the beach or walk down a street.) As you walk to the beach, you have another tier with a sundeck, chaise lounges, and umbrella. I had to run back up to the house and ask Fred if that was ours to use...He laughed and said it was all part of Oyster Pearl. And if you like an ocean breeze, you will love this home... I walked down the hall one evening and noticed we had all the sliding doors in all the bedrooms, the dining room and living room open...allowing the gentle ocean breeze to flow through the house! I am not one to get up early, but the excitement of having coffee on the outdoor patio with that view had us all coming down the hall early rubbing our eyes and smiling. We also closed every day sitting out on the outdoor living area looking at the ocean and the stars. The beds and the linens are fit for a 5 star hotel. David was absolutely wonderful to work with and he answered all my many questions. This is truly the most relaxing vacation we have ever had! We had no worries. Honestly...Fred took care of everything and anything...and you have a wonderful houskeeper twice during the week. You will leave Oyster Pearl with a renewed and refreshed spirit!!
The Best Vacation Villa We ever Stayed In...

My husband and I, along with another couple stayed at the Oyster Pearl for 11 nights in late august and what can I say, it really was the best vacation that I have had in many years. We have traveled all over the us, Mexico and Caribbean and never have we ever been so relaxed.
The Villa is in a secluded location on the island in Dawn Beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ships but close enough to some great restaurants and shopping as necessary.
From the minute we stepped off the plane and were met by Fred, the Villa's caretaker, to the time we arrived at this beautiful location, we knew it was going to be a fabulous vacation. The Villa along is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures are nice, but really, you just have to open that front door and see the view of the ocean to experience it. The furnishings are well appointed and very comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you have at home (and I am not exxagerating). All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and fully equipped with hair dryers and straighteners. But the real gem of the home is the outdoor living space. From the teak dining table to the super-comfortable couch, it was wonderful. The views of St. Barths from the luxurious loungers are priceless. There is also a gas grill for your use as well.
I took seven dresses for dinners out and only used two as we spent our whole trip eating in, having a private chef cook and enjoying the best vacation villa we have ever rented.
It also needs to be noted that the owner of the villa is very responsive to every question, concern and need that your group may have. David was wonderful and we can't wait to rent next year.

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Oyster Pearl. In a nutshell: sparking clean modern villa with everything one needs and more; a beatiful view of what amounts to be a private beach; attentive service; near a cool Frenchy area; tile floors to make Nero jealous. We shall return with the same family we traveled with. A home run!

Our trip to the Oyster Pearl was amazing. The views were wondering and the villa was beautiful. Waking up each morning was like a dream! The location was great as we had the Westin right next door to the right with a great beach/pool bar,and casino and the Oyster Bay Beach Resort to the left.
Fred, out host was a great help and made us feel right at home. The many sun decks and beautiful pool made our stay perfect.

One word to describe Villa Oyster: paradise!! The location, the view, the amenities.. everything is set up so you have a wonderful caribbean experience. When you stay here, you will definitely need a car. There are few nice restaurants in the bay. Very private beach. Only shared by other villas and Westin...Rooms are very comfortable. All airconditioned. Veranda is just fantastic. Owner has a good collection of dvd's, but be prepared to be disconnected from the rest of the world.. No TV!! and that's good. We spent a 'girls week' in villa oyster and created lot of good memories to share for many years to come.

Simply put...Wow...what a wonderful vacation home at Villa Oyster Pearl! From the moment we booked our trip w/the owner, David, the experience was worry free and exciting. Not having ever booked a villa home before w/o recommendations, I was a bit nervous about it, but everything was as it was described and then some. The moment we opened the door to the villa we were greeted with sunshine and the smells and sounds of the ocean. Awesome, what a greeting! Oh, and upon arrival at the airport, we were met by "Fred" the caretaker of the property, who had a smile as big as the sea! The beach, well, it was just perfect, and a short "walk" on a rock pathway to reach it. We rented a car from Hertz, which was great and allowed us the pleasure of getting to know the island. We are all beach lovers and so, this was our daily plan, to hit as many beaches as we could so when we return to Oyster Pearl, we will know exactly where to go! Please hit Mullet Bay, Orient Bay and ansel Marcel, both were delicious beaches!! We did eat at The Big Fish and I had a wonderful meal, very beautiful restaurant and close to villa. It would take more than this page to tell you about Oyster Pearl..believe me, it was immaculate and gorgeous. The views were amazing plus the Westin, next door, was a delight. Their jacuzzi was huge and gorgeous, on the beach. To sum this all up, let me just say, It has been several weeks since we left St. Martin and the villa and I am still looking at our photos and planning our next Oyster Pearl vacation. Thank you David!! I hope we get to meet the next time around.
Both house and location were most beautiful!

My spouse and 3 friends rented the Villa Oyster Pearl for one week, Jan 22-29, 2010. It was great for a crowd due to the spaciousness of it. We used 3 or the 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We also made good use of the laundry facilities. The villa was clean, bright and big.
The pool was fabulous and the covered veranda, our favourite perch, has great views and breezes that were always a welcome reprieve from the intense heat in the shopping areas.
The veranda shutters, driveway gate and Fred on site made me feel secure, plus it is a quiet area of the island. The Westin is very close for a little casino action and also we found Orlando, the smiling taxi driver, who treated us very well and took us to Grand Case for an evening meal and waited for us for the return trip-great service.
We ate at Mr Busby's twice, good food and atmosphere. Pierre rented us a sail boat for the day, complete with crew, and we sailed around the entire island-exciting.
The couple of minor issues we encountered were addressed to our statisfaction promptly, I feel we were well taken care of at the Oyster Pearl. Thanks to David, Fred and Natesha for making our stay a wonderful experience! One more thing, the kitchen is very well equipped, from the wine cooler down to the martini shaker!

We spent 5 wonderful nights at the villa. We had postponed our 25th anniversary celebration a month so we could spend it in St. Maarten and this villa was the perfect place to celebrate it. You feel like you are at home right away. The location is on the quiet side of the island, away from all the congestion of Phillipsburg and hustle and bustle of Simpson Bay. The ocean views from the villa are spectacular of St. Baths. Our favorite time was sitting on the sofa in the lanai and listening to the sounds of the ocean below us and looking up at the starry sky above us with a glass of wine. The villa has everything you need to make your stay wonderful. Below the villa down a stone/rock path/stairway you have Dawn beach. However we chose to explore many of the more isolated beaches on the island and they are all within a 30 minute drive or less, the villa is so convenient to everything. Some excellent restaurants are right around the corner! Fred made sure all our needs were taken care of and offered a few suggestions of places to visit, all of which we enjoyed. The only 2 negatives were the lack of privacy due to the Westin next door, but there are ways you can work around that and no cable television, so my husband a CNN/Fox News "addict" could not keep up with the latest, but as it was we didn't even watch TV we just enjoyed our time together on the island. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone, couples, families or even a girls trip! Thanks "D" for the restaurant suggestions, but I need to add Capt Olivers to that list as well (it was wonderfully romantic albeit pricey). Once again thanks for everything "D"!! We hope to return soon!

For anyone considering traveling to St. Martin, I would not stay anywhere but the Villa Oyster Pearl. I've traveled to many places, and sometimes the accomadations aren't as advertised. With the Villa Oyster Pearl, what you see in the pictures is what you get!! A beautiful, well maintained villa overlooking the ocean and Dawn Beach. The home is very comfortable, with incredible flooring inside and out, spacious rooms, and beautiful porch and pool that overlook the ocean! Fred and Natisha were extremely hospitable and we enjoyed interacting with them.
I went with my family, my mother, and my brothers family, and we still talk about how beautiful the Pearl was, and how fun St. Martin and especially the area around Dawn Beach are.
