The Stone House at Oyster Pond is a celebration of geography, architecture and joie de vivre. The Stone House is located on the east coast of the Dutch side of the island adjacent to... the French border. At about 80 feet above sea level, the villa overlooks the very origin of the island's division into two separate countries. Uniquely situated to capture expansive views of both Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond, The Stone House provides sightings of nearby St Barths and Saba as well.

The facility is as unique as the location. Nature abounds (and awakens the senses) with breathtaking sunrises, caressing island breezes and soothing deep-blue waters. The unique aspect of the Villa is the location "above" the activity with an easy 150 meter stroll to the beach. The new Westin Casino is about 1/4 mile away. The combination of style, unique materials & design, location and tasteful furnishings coupled with reasonable rental rates and a sleeping capacity of 12 will make this your family vacation choice for years to come.

NOTE: The fourth bedroom is in the separate Guest Cottage and includes a King bed, ceiling fan, TV/VCR, air conditioning, and en-suite bathroom with shower, porch, and kitchen.

St. Martin offers a diverse culture since the island is divided into the Dutch-side and French-side. The French side has a more genteel ambience, more fashionable shopping, and a Continental flair. The Dutch side tends to be less expensive, has casino hotels, and more nightlife. There are lots of water sports available to you - diving, snorkeling, sailing, and windsurfing are all popular choices. And it's easy to spend the day relaxing on one of the 37 beaches, strolling the boardwalk of Dutch-side Philipsburg, and exploring the very French town of Marigot.

  Great Expectations Turned into Great Disappointment

  The house is quite old and requires some TLC. It was comfortable in most respects for a Caribbean vacation rental, but one could see that it was well used. The interior is very dark most of the day due to its style. Kitchen could use remodeling. Showers could use remodeling. Bedroom pillows could use replacing. The beds did not smell fresh and clean. We did not have a working BarBQ for the first 6 days, although there was a brand new one locked up on the premises...go figure! The island is loosly referred to as a "paradise". This is very far from the truth, however has nothing to do with this rental. We will not return to this house or this island again. A 9 day stay was a learning experience not to be repeated.
