My husband and I were finally going to get that honeymoon, 33 years late. We were looking for somewhere off the beaten track, quiet, and private. We booked through Rental Butler who more than delivered. They booked the villa, stocked the refrigerator, and provided a guide from the airport to our villa. When the airline lost our luggage, our guide went back to the airport to pick it up the next morning and deliver it to us.
The house is lovely! A wall of glass french doors opens to views of the sunrise, and the sound of the ocean waves. Views of the beach, bay, watercraft, and surrounding hillsides were just what we had hoped for. We were five minutes from the resorts, restaurants, and beaches; fifteen minutes to downtown Phillipsburg and perhaps 40 minutes to Marigot. The snorkeling was fabulous; we highly recommend Captain alan's snorkeling and the Eagle Tours Friday Farewell catamaran trip around the island.
The drive to the villa is steep and rugged. Make sure your rental car has great tires; recommend a small jeep or smaller car, as roads are narrow and drivers are "relaxed".
We were told the villa is to go bathroom and kitchen updates soon. Can't wait to return and see it!
