Exquisite touches everywhere you look!
Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in January 2013
In all of the Islands you will not find anywhere with this many special touches and comfort. The owners spare no expense at making this precious home the best place to choose to be your home away from home on the Big Island. It's very convenient to an awesome little town just down the road and close to the coolest place to hike down to a majestic black sand beach. Last, but not least, the owners are so dear. It is such a blessing to have met them. This would be a much longer review but I'm typing from an iPad. You will love Mele Manu cottage if you have the opportunity to visit the Big Island.

ClintonAdorable cottage on remote and peaceful property
Left on 12/15/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our hosts were self-proclaimed slaves to aesthetics and anyone who stays at Mele Manu will have to agree. We were initially awestruck by the indescribable beauty of the landscape as well as the carefully furnished and decorated accommodations. Zeke and Randy shared with us their adorable cottage and remote, peaceful property for two incredible weeks. Our hosts were gracious, kind, and hospitable to say the least.

Darcy and William,
Thank you for your kind thoughts. We couldn't have wished for a better experience in hosting you both. As we shared with you on our last evening together, you restore our faith in 20-somethings!

Monticello, FloridaThis felt like the cozy guesthouse of dear friends!
Left on 11/08/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I had a wonderful four night stay at this delightful cottage. To be honest, it felt like we were staying at the guest house of dear friends instead of renting from perfect strangers. There were so many thoughtful details that only the most considerate of hosts shares with guests. From reading the comments written by guests from all over the world in their guest book, Randal and Zeke go out to their way to make each guest feel special. In our case, there were gorgeous flower arrangements from their gardens in all of the rooms and even on the outside tables. Since my husband owns a nursery and I am an avid gardener, this was really nice. The garden surrounding this cottage was really well tended and beautiful.
The cottage is absolutely full of tasteful artwork, much of which we understand was the work of local artist friends. It was fun staying in a solar powered cottage. I also loved the fact they recycle and compost. It was great to be green in paradise. The bedroom loft was cozy and had great linens. The bath was clean and comfortable. The towels were fluffy and the soaps smelled divine. The kitchen was cute and full of wonderful treats. There were so many other things there that you just might need...snorkels, cooler, guide books, bug spray, etc.
Randal and Zeke are thoughtful, generous hosts. We loved getting to tour their art studio and seeing how they created such beautiful things. They are very knowledgeable about the area and obviously love their adopted island.
I could go on and on about all of the delightful details that made this stay so very special. Honestly, these guys take the vacation rental thing to a whole new level. My only regret was that we had to leave.
