We stayed two nights in this Spanish Style Villa and loved our time there.
We stayed with another couple - there were two good sized bedrooms.
The kitchen was beautiful and equipped with luxury appliances. Everything was immaculate and decorated with great style.
The owners were truly helpful - in all ways. We especially enjoyed the list of their "favorites" which gave us some good clues about restaurants, shopping, things to see and do.
We loved being near Lovers Point and would love to return to the home, and the Monterey Peninsula! -

I stayed with my mother and sister three nights in March. Originally my sister had booked two nights, but since the manager had a family emergency which delayed our check-in until 3:40 pm, we were very kindly offered a third night free by the owner. I am not exaggerating when I mention that this is the most beautiful lodging I have stayed at in the Pacific Grove area. I have stayed at the Martine Inn, the Seven Gables Inn, and the Gosby Inn, all of which are highly rated. The Brazilian cherrywood hardwood floors are beautiful throughout the home, and each of the two bedrooms has a queen bed. If 6 people wanted to stay at this cottage, it is possible, since there is an inflatable queen bed mattress. The windows must be double paned, since I heard absolutely no noise for all three nights, and all three of us are light sleepers.
The kitchen is world class - we cooked seafood the entire time we stayed there - the stoves and oven are gas-operated. There is a Nob Hill Market less than a mile away and a Safeway and Trader Joe's also less than a mile away. We bought our seafood at two places - Phil's in Moss Landing and the Sea Harvest in Monterey. Both sold locally caught rockfish and sole, plus very fresh sea scallops which weren't chemically treated by sodium phosphate. We went wine tasting in Carmel Valley Road at Heller's winery. The highly acclaimed Le Normandie is a short two block walk and Il Vecchio is only about a mile away.
The bathroom is stunning - a deep tub with a whirlpool setting with charming stone walls.
The garden is beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting outside and smelling the jasmine. There is a cute French bakery on 1219 Forest avenue - less than a mile away. The gas fireplace makes the living room cozy. The owner is very responsive to emails - we sent her three emails and received an answer always within an hour.
Quick pointer - you need to turn the hot water heater on when you arrive. It is located by the washer/drier. Also, when closing the lock box, press clear, re-enter the code the owner gives you, press down on open switch, place the cover bottom first and release the switch and the cover will snap in place.
The location is unbeatable, the home is beautiful, and we had the flexibility of eating our meals in as opposed to eating out. Cannery Row is just a little over a mile away. What's not to like? -

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at this little immaculately clean, beautifully renovated villa. Its small but perfectly formed and the space is used so well! Appears much larger from the inside than it looks on the outside. The location was both convenient and picture perfect. The villa is beautifully fitted out with almost everything one could need, including the most comfy beds! We felt very much at home here and would highly recommend it. If I had to nitpick we'd have loved a kettle (for tea) and a full length mirror! But really, that is nitpicking! Don' hesitate...book this lovely villa!

This is a beautiful little home close to the ocean walking trail that winds through Monterey, Pacific Grove and around to asilomar and 17 Mile Drive. Inside the home is cozy but not small. Guest rooms, dining room, living room and outdoor areas allow you to move around without feeling cramped. House has been tastefully remodeled and updated. There's only one house between you and Lovers' Point so if you love to walk and see the wildlife, beautiful flowers and amazing views of the Pacific then this place is for you. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and we weren't disappointed. The restaurants, cannery row and the aquarium are all very close. We chose to walk to most. The free tickets to the aquarium were a plus as we didn't have to wait in the long opening line to get in. Around on the side there is a members entrance and we didn't have to wait. The owners were very easy to reach and were very accommodating.
I would most definitely recommend this house to small families or couples. We will definitely be telling our friends about this beautiful home. Or, maybe we will keep it our little secret... : ) -

We booked this property for a family weekend. The location was fantastic. Walk to the ocean, into town. Easy access to Montery Bay aquarium. The house was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was fantastic. Beds were comfortable.
The shower was a little difficult to navigate for older folks. The deep tub made it difficult for some to get in and out. -

My husband, 24 year old daughter and I spent an unbelievable weekend in this home. It is so beautifully laid out and the decor is lovely. The house has everything anyone could want and then some in a vacation rental. Lovely views of Monterey Bay, walking distance to restaurants and the coastal trail and all the amenities of home. Comfy beds, a well equiped kitchen and an outdoor space that is peaceful and serene. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks so much for sharing your slice of heaven!

You cannot beat the location of this home. It is on a quite street, close to ocean, beach walk and historic neighborhood of Pacific Grove. The house was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. The property manager/owner went out of her way to make our stay fantastic, proving us with tips on local paces to eat and visit. We would stay here again.

My family rented this home for a 3 night stay. This home was perfect for the four of us! I don't even know how to begin to describe the wonderful feeling we had during our stay (and still have). The sunshine literally beamed through the house in the mornings and afternoons. We loved having the beautiful wood framed windows and doors wide open and the smell and sound of the ocean coming through. Although this home is small in square footage its designed and decorated to give it a much bigger and grand feeling, yet still feeling warm and cozy. Everything appeared as brand new. The beds were the most comforable beds we have ever slept in! The home was spotless and no clutter! The living area was comfy with loungable furniture and a spacious feel. Great for reading, chatting, watching tv or just gazing at Lovers Point. The two fireplaces were wonderful to use during our stay and helped add to the cozy feel. We enjoyed using the kitchen for cooking a few of our meals. The location was incredible! We were close enough to walk to everything if we wanted to or driving was always easy. We enjoyed taking our daughter to play at Caledonia park in the neighborhood and the beach at Lovers Point was just steps away from the house with a great snack bar with good food. Pavel's bakery just up the street is a must if you love fresh cinnamon rolls and danishes.Yum! We enjoyed a visit at the aquarium and greatly appreciated that two passes were included with the rental. We also spent an afternoon at Dennis the Menace Park in Monterrey and highly recommend it for anyone with kids. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with from our first contact through to our last day. She was very interested in making sure we loved her home and had everything we needed. We are so happy we found this home in PG and are excited to rent it again for a future vacation.

My security deposit was refunded immediately. Simply a wonderful experience. We aren't typically ones to revisit the same places often, but all five of us would like to return and would plan our stay around this home's available dates.

We like to vacation in the Monterey/Pacific Grove area because of the many family oriented activities it provides and after staying in not so great places during the last 3 years, I can say we have finally found a vacation rental we will come back to. The "Spanish Villa" is awesome! From the flooring to the kitchen, bathroom, and home decor. The materials used to upgrade the home are top notch, this is the kind of quality materials we like.
Now the proximity to activities is another "awesome". This rental is the 3rd house to the corner of Oceanview Dr and there is Lovers point. Up the street is Lighthouse and all the
shops, especially Pavels Bakery!!
The rental transaction was smooth. Stay at this home, it does not disappoint. -

From start to finish, our stay at this charming villa was wonderful. Booking was simple and painless. We arrived at the space, not knowing the area, and were blown away! We found ourselves right on the beach, in a darling neighborhood in walking distance of much of Monterey and Pacific Grove. The home itself is spectacular - clearly cared for and maintained. It was warm and inviting, and was the perfect home-away-from-home ... we never wanted to leave. We can't wait to return!

We have been to Pacific Grove many times and this is the nicest place we've stayed. It is really incredible and we were very impressed by the decor and amenities. We especially liked cooking in the gourment kitchen and ending our day by the fireplace each night. The location was excellent. Lover's Point beach was across the street and some really great restaurants were only two blocks away.
The owner was extremely easy to deal with and answered all of our questions. Our stay came with two passes to the aquarium and we were very happy to use them. Most importantly, our refundable deposit was returned to us less than a week after our stay!
