The house was beautiful and so was Pagosa. It snowed straight through the 1st two days we arrived. The snowboarding was incredible and the locals said it was the best days they have seen in years. The house was very clean and the heat was already on when we arrived. We got stuck in the driveway one of the days but one of the neighbors came out and saved us. What a great place. I can't wait to go back and we are definitely making this a tradition.

We rented this home based upon the pictures and description on Vrbo, com. It had the space we needed and seemed to be well kept and updated. The house was even better than we had anticipated. Spacious, clean, well decorated, well stocked kitchen and linen closet. Beautiful place. Can't wait to come back.

Our family rented this house for a month and weren't aware that there were 3 floors (only able to tell there were 2 stories from the photos and nothing was mentioned in the description). We put up gates, but our one and three year old children were constantly trying to climb over them and falling down the stairs. There were no overhead lights in the living room, which wasn't a huge deal, but it was winter, and always really dark in there. Our other issue was the extremely thin walls. Each child had their own bedrooms, but it was as if they were in the same room. So every night one of them would wake the other up; generally around 4:00 a.m. We ended up having to put one on the top floor and one in the basement, while we slept on the 2nd floor. Needless to say, it was a nightmare and when we requested to change to another location, the staff was neither sympathetic, nor helpful and the owner completely declined to let us out of the contract. We ended up having to rent a second home in town just to be able to enjoy our vacation. We have learned our lesson and will ask lots of questions before renting for a long period of time again. I do think this would be fine for a couple or a family with older children.

This reservation was for the month of January, 2012. While we are sorry about the problems experienced by these guests, we wish to point out that they were in this property for 2 weeks before we received any complaints. I do take issue with the comment that our staff was neither sympathetic nor helpful. Please understand that our vacation rental properties are privately owned so a decison on letting guests out of rental contracts is not ours to make. We should also mention that all other reviews on this property are 5 star.

We flew into Pagosa and stayed here for some late spring skiing. What a great place to stay. Very comfortable inside and nice deck too. We will be back in the future for sure.

The home was a fabulous place for our two week vacation. It was conveninetly located near town, yet far enough away to not hear any noise. It has every amenity required for a two week stay and the fenced yard was great for the hounds to play. A great home and we will definitely be back for another stay in the future.

We have been going to Wolf Creek to ski for 7 years. We have always stayed in the same cabin on the Southfork side until this year. We had the best experience with the owner, management staff and neighborhood. It was a huge risk to change our lodging with a large family, but it was worth every bit of time and money. The only thing I wish we had done was changed our "home away from home" sooner. We look forward to many more years in our new CO home. Thanks!

Willis, TexasPeaceful, cool mountain retreat - our summer home.

We have enjoyed staying here for the past three summers. The location is beautifully quiet but not that far from stores and restaurants that it is remote. The house is big enough to entertain guests but just right for the two of us most of the time.
