      Lots of room

Left on 02/17/2011 for a stay in February 2011

Should have let us know we needed to supply our own toilet paper & firewood. We could have brought some from home.

Awesome snow at Wolf Creek-cabin feels like home

Left on 01/05/2011 for a stay in December 2010

This is the 5th time we've rented. The cabin is comfy and not super fancy--it has everything one needs for a memorable mountain experience. A new non-stick frying pan would be nice--I brought mine from home this year! Also disappointed that the wood was not delivered, as we called ahead of time! This happens every year--don't know what the problem is---

Great mantlepiece for decorating View coming down the mountain

      Good for guys

Left on 03/19/2010 for a stay in March 2010

Cabin was nice but there were a few things that could have been nicer. First of all, glad we had 4 wheel drive because the driveway was a muddy mess. The basement had stained carpet and cracks in the floor. The main floor and loft were good. Thought the price was a bit high for the shape it was in. Glad our wives sat this trip out. It is a great location. Would recommend to a group of guys.

      Not what we expected

Left on 01/10/2010 for a stay in December 2009

We drove 16 hours to get to Pagosa Springs and when we arrived to our cabin we were shocked. It was not what we expected. We looked at the pictures online and could tell that the cabin looked alittle older. I have a 11 month old and we had to bring a gate for the stairs and move the furniture around so he would not fall through the railing. We had to vacume the floor because it was dirty. We had to watch him around the heaters on the floor. We never went to the bottom floor because it was cracked cement flooring with stained rugs. This cabin would be nice for hunters or people with older kids who you don't have to watch as closely. It really had lots of room. The 2nd and 3rd levels were a lot nicer then the bottom.

Owner's of Bear Cub are put a lot of money back into this cabin to bring the standard of our home back to where your next stay will be one to remember, new carpets, area rugs, linens, bedspreads, driveway has been reworked and gravel spread keeping mud tracking down to a minimum, Give this home another chance, great price for the size and location.

      Elk Hunt Gathering

Left on 12/15/2008 for a stay in October 2007

Nice layout and a good value for a larger group. We used the chalet as a staging point for an elk hunt prior to moving onto the ranch property, as we had people coming from several directions. Ample room, sleeping areas, dishes, kitchen ware, and nicely decorated. Nice fireplace and view of the valley. The poweder room in the loft was very convenient. Quiet neighborhood in the Fall. We commented to the rental agency that a cabinet door needed repair in the main bath and we were unable to fire up the heater on the lower level until we took it apart and lit it with a match. It was generally clean, but no one had been there for awhile and we did a bit of cob web removal. Nothing like sitting on the deck with a beer and taking in the Rockies on a beautiful Fall day !
