We wanted to stay in a house that was away from the touristy areas. This Paia beach house fit the bill. A few minutes drive to the heart of Paia and a short walk to the beach and Mama's Fish House, this was a clean and airy place to stay. It is in a residential neighborhood with lanais and a view of Haleakala. Our host Paula was very willing to assist with any problems. We really enjoyed staying here. The only minor issue we encountered was the lack of variety of utensils for cooking. The house is a split level, so there was a lot of walking up and down stairs, as the bedrooms are downstairs, so I wouldn't recommend it for people with limited mobility.

Wedding party stayed at Paula's place near Kuau Cove. Was such an excellent location for the friends and family, everyone could be close to each other yet all rooms private and quiet and serene. Parking tight but we shared vehicles. Easy, easy walk to beach, neighbors friendly, parrot flying around, clean and spotless with all amenities we needed, stayed in Maui 15 times and know what is good and what is not - this is good value for the money and more! Location is thankfully a bit out of the trade winds and balcony views are over nice home across street and Mama's side gardens. Stay there and rent a bicycle, Hookipa to Paia are then only minutes away!
