2 B&B; suites, absolute waterfront, with private entry by lift or stairs .Free use of kayaks and dingy. Fabulous views from your pillow along the beach and across to Russell. Comprehensive breakfast menu included in tariff. Patio area with outdoor seating, stairway to beach and only a 10 min stroll to town, cafes, restaurants, shops, tourist boat trips and ferry ride to Historic Russell. So peaceful and quiet, no traffic noise. This is the ideal place to stay in Paihia. Perched on a hill above Sullivans Beach with a short walk down steps through the garden directly onto the beach ,the location of allview Lodge cant be beaten. The views from our Pohuhukawa Suite were breath-taking. How absolutely pleasant it was to sit inside or out on the verandah and just gaze out at the view of the beach, islands, boats, people kayaking and the occasional cruise ship.
Inside the fittings and decor was to a high standard, clean and comfortable. It was good to have the kitchenette with a microwave and frypan as well as a good size fridge. Free wifi is available too.
There are kayaks available to use and on calm days it is a lovely and safe area to kayak in. You can walk to Paihia in low tide however there are some rocks to scramble over, and you can also walk around the small headland in the other direction to another beach. It is a very short drive into Paihia where you can easily buy food and organise trips.
A tip on finding the accommodation is, as you drive along Sullivans Road you will come to a driveway on the left that says Private Road. Allview Lodge is accessed down this road.

We had a 4 night stay at allView Lodge and the time passed too quickly. The natural beauty of the location is obvious from the many photos of the view from the large deck. The view is captivating and we enjoyed a drink each evening just watching the human and natural activity of the Bay.
However what photos don't show is Robyn and Peter's attention to detail to ensure their guests have a memorable stay. Quality fittings, quality cutlery, quality furnishings, etc, etc ! We were also given good (but not overpowering) advice on what to do, so our brief visit to the Bay of Islands covered everything we wanted to see.Response from Robyn Rhodes - 04/26/2012
