BarbandBanjo
QLD, AustraliaLarge apartment in Palermo
Left on 06/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Nicoletta was a great hostess, with lots of knowledge and advise for Palermo. The apartment is large and had lots of supplies for kitchen, laundry and bathrooms. A cleaner also came on Day 3 which was unexpected.
Nicoletta arranged rental car, airport pickup at very reasonable prices and greatly appreciated. -

London, United KingdomFabulous experience
Left on 05/20/2011 for a stay in September 2010
We were warmly greeted and our apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we could need. I hadn't realised when we booked what history there was in the place - our host took us around the historical building and showed us the family home of the Palazzo Lanza Tomasi. I wish we'd had the time to do her cooking day, but alas, perhaps next time!

Oslo, NorwayPerfect stay; great hospitality

We stayed at Butera28 for four nights, and it everything was as expected, and even better. Nicoletta was extremely helpful and friendly, and gave us good tips on what to see and where to go. She also arranged taxi last minute to and from the airport. The apartment was spacious and very clean, beautifully located in the old city. It was also nice to have milk, water, toast, maremalde and butter in the apartment at late arrival. I have nothing bad to say, just pleased to have picked the best place for us to stay during our visit to Sicilly. Thank you, Nicoletta for your warmth, hospitality and guidance to Palermo city!

"We're living in a Palazzo!"
Sydney, Australia" We're living in a Palazzo!"
Left on 12/02/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Brilliant location, extraordiary building, great location, gracious hospitality. Nicoletta cared for us,seeing to the needs of our extended family in various interesting and very different rooms in this grande Residence. Room 17, was splendid , with 2 large double rooms, 2 beautiful bathrooms, a full well equipped kitchen, huge dining/ living room, chandeliers. marble floors, a washing machine and dishwasher. Fantastic refuge from the excitment of city life in Palermo. Double glazing and shutters to the verandah above the street enabled peaceful sleeping. Perfect for us (a couple and my 84 year old father) .We had the facilities for family dinners, after visits to Ballaro market where you can get lost in alley ways brimming with the best produce imaginable. The lift allowed dad to safely visit other family members in accomodation on higher levels. We stayed for 12 days, and loved Palermo as a base to visit local museums, markets, botanic gardens, and daytrips to Monreale, Mondello, Erice, and amazing countryside sites with greek ruins to rival the Parthenon! Go to Palermo and stay at Butera 28. It is a gem.

Milan, Italy17th flat in Butera28
Left on 04/12/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Togheter with my family I spent a lovely week-end at butera’s 28 17th flat. It was an extraordinary exeperience: knowing we were going to stay very close to the place where the Prince of Lampedusa, Giuseppe Tomasi, had his last address, we sincerely hoped to spend a special holiday. All expectations were satisfied. Great palace, great charme, great atmosphere, rooms behind the times for dimension and funishings ( but all modern optionals are included) things that you will never find somewhere else, not even in the latest luxury hotel. Duchess and Duke made us feel very welcome treating us with great hospitality and elegance, for a moment we felt to be a part of the “Gattopardo” history. Unforgettable.

ItalyElegant, comfortable
Left on 03/12/2010 for a stay in September 2009
I stayed at Butera Apertments for a week in September 2009.
The apartmnet is very comfortable, spacious and elegant, The owner has fitted out the rooms with all neccesary to make a memorable stay. Rooms are large, balconies looking out to a busy street, but inside very quiet.
The owner is gracious and very helpful with any information for visiting Palermo.
I would recommend the apartments to anyone wanting to be in Paleromo and experince being in a grand Palazzo.
